you lost me before you even started. Some joe blow named steve just happens to find a spell book next to jumanji. and he carbon dates the note by sight!?! and he suddenly can recognize, decipher and read fluent latin, celtic and nordic!?? you let your imaginatiin run away with you on this one. i hope you slow down and think your next story through.

I've heard of an author willing the suspension of disbelief but ....

Yes the story is a little far fetched. But I like the premise of it a lot. The beginning could have been better such as the bit of paper being carbon dated by who? The kid? Also is the only sound you could think of the same drum sound from the book in the Jumanji movie? Those are my only gripes. But overall I enjoyed it and look forward to the next part.
