My wife and i joined a locsl Baptist church, and then the choir. We became best friends with the choir director and her husband, like me singing bass in the back row.

Eventually we traded partners at the bridge table and when going out dancing (and then driving home)

Before long we went on a weekend outing together in adjoining rooms, and traded partners there too.
