I recalled my first time at the beach while reading your story. It was truly surreal with the sound of the crashing waves, the open, moonlit sky above us with all of its stars, the open ocean in front of us. My partner and I spent the entire night making love and didn't stop until the sun started to rise. But, yes, sand is something to definitely avoid.
