This classic poem is still going strong after all these years.

is mentioned in the new poems reviews.

In two places near the beginning of the poem, you use "where" and I think you really mean "were"...

but an interesting read nonetheless.

Something lasts forever,

it's the joy or pain

you carry in your soul.

1980????!! Two points - you show high maturity here, despite a few minor weak points, and, - now you're starting off into the prime of your life.
