Good Writing!

Wonderful descriptive writing and excellent emotional content, but I'm not sure if I want to name it poem. - More a camera vérité or vita of the pen to my eye.
Whatever it may be, I thank you for it. You have well captured the poignant essence of the scene and made it clearer than life.

Well done, Thank you!

Many memories you have resurrected...

and have rebirthed with this poem. Although I agree with Reltne about the piece being rather lengthy as a poem, I was entranced from your first word to last. It speaks of all of the emotions felt spanning decades and generations and all gathered and spoken of on this one night. Lengthy or not as a poem, its going into My Favorites right now.
Thank you for the pleasure you've given Me with this piece.

Vixxx

Captivating

I think you have captured the unsentimental loving kindness that seems to be the gift of the very old.Very good

I would call it a poem....

With story beginnings/characteristics! Whatever the case, this is captivating writing, well worth reading.

Excellent!

This was a very sensitive and artfully written piece, coming straight from the author's heart.

The subject is chosen from a subject that contains great poignancy, but too often avoided by us younger writers.

I don't usually read poetry, but I'm glad that I read this one.

Poignant and very moving!

This poem paints such a sensitive beautiful picture of older folks. The older we get the more scenes of our youth come back to comfort us. Beautifully Written!
