It's marvelous, as addictive as it was the first time I saw a tiny little piece. I think over time I've run out of words to praise this and I haven't even scratched the surface of what there is to say. I love it.

As a long time lover of both 'future fiction' and erotica I could not stop reading. One of the best works I have read in many a moon. Better than Heinlein's 'Lazarus Long' series simply because of its erotic content.

A great mix of eroticism and sci-fi and war.

Like others have mentioned, I wouldnt mind paying for this in an anthology type book.

I don't think I have ever been disappointed in one of your stories; this is simply outstanding! It's even been left open for future 'episodes', and should you ever decide to pursue that option, it would no doubt be every bit as fantastic.

This is, as expected, a fantastic story. It is very well written as well. However, there are a few minor errors that take away from the overall story. Such as referring to Rebel as Rebecca and other misrepresentation of some characters. The story is one of the best I've seen! But some careful editing would not be a bad idea.

I loved it the first time I read it......I love it even more second time around. And now I can't wait for the follow up. As always, the plot, environments, dialogue and characterisation are impeccable, but those characters are so much more appealing in their familiarity. We can add faces to the characters, flesh them out, and the story is even more alive than before. That said, this is a superb piece of writing, and really should be out there in the bookshops, wowing the socks of the reading public. Please do it. For them. Mat xxxxx

Wonderful story - I loved how you weaved all of the elements together to tell a real story, and made me care for the characters. When the klaxon went for the last battle I was really worried that Erica or Rebel might die! I have read quite a few of your other stories but I have to say that this is my favourite one!

Read it about 3 times or something like that, and still think it is a wonderful story. The characters are deep, and the background story is solid, explaining the universe in a few details without being to technical, and ruining the atmosphere. I can not say anything else, than it is a absolute wonderful story, and I would not mind seeing a sequel. I like you writting, though there is a few missing words a few places and some places where the names are mixed up, but one of the stories with fewer slips, considering its length.

Yet another great tale. Kudos! At first i was like too many charactors ahhhhhggg! But after the introduction phase everything blended together amazingly. Well not so amazingly concidering your one of my favorite authors :p Any how, thank you very much for this great story and again i wait in anticipation of your next triumph :)

This is a fantastic story, and fully qualifies as both erotica and literature. The scope, pacing, and length of the story are all perfect, and the characters take on real humanity as we get to know them.

As attached to the characters as we have all become, there are a lot of comments here calling for a sequel. A part of me wants to agree, but another part of me feels like your story as it stands begins and ends in just the right places. I would certainly encourage you to write more SF, and possibly even write something else set in the same universe, but don't feel like you have to write a sequel just because everyone wants one. Use your judgement as a writer as to whether or not a sequel is what you want to write; you have certainly demonstrated that your judgement is good.

You did a great job with this story! Please continue with this story line!

finished, just in time to see it win a well deserved award. Wonderful, it took my breath away, so much action and emotion and drama. I loved every page.

This is my favorite story from my favorite author in all of Literotica. I really love they way you get into the chars. It give the whole piece a really nice flow and makes it very gripping. I can only hope that we will see more pieces from this briliant author in the future :)

Favorite storry.

Top Gun meets ID4 meets Hot Lesbian Action with great characters written classically and well. Read this- you will enjoy. The greatest lesbian stories I have ever seen come from Colleen Thomas, and they were a huge influence on my writing and life. This particular story is one of her best. She is missed greatly by all who knew her, and respected too. This story is one of her best.

One of the very best erotic tales I have ever read. In "The Furies", Colleen Thomas displays a powerful imagination; extensive technical knowledge (a service background?); great feel for her characters, and their lovemaking; and all woven together with solid writing skills. Top job!

Hard and fast no pun intended... ok so maybe a little one. Sharp bursts of emotional resonance at all the right places. Well done.

It is with great sadness and great nostalgia I read this story. There is none other like it and the bleak mood of the characters' struggles and accomplishments saturates my mind when I read this. Colleen was taken from us much too soon, a great author and a wonderful person. This, I consider to be her magnum opus, for it is a story of such grandness and sadness that I can't help but imagine; "What if?" What if Colleen had continued to write stories set in the Authority setting? I will never know the answer to that question, and that is simply heart wrenching to me.

This story quite literally took my breath away.

All I can say is, thankyou.

It was lovely. A few parts of it was so touching that my eyes was teary. Thank you.

You really had me believing that it was the end for Rebel when she went in to save Boss. I even got teary eyed. And when those two finally got together, I totally felt the tension and then the love that finally overcame all the nervousness and hesitation. What a great story!!

I know it's erotic FICTION.

Starts with promise, really bogs in the middle, & ends like a Hollywood script.

Truer ending 1: Air Boss sends all fighters out to defend the fleet & suffer heavy casualties, including Rebel. Never knows love again.

Truer ending 2: Why is the Air Boss taking a fighter out? Rebel continues on assigned flight path to target & Erica succumbs to superior numbers (15:1 can only be survived in fiction). Rebel dies inside & either crawls into the bottle, or becomes the fleet's highest Ace, fueled by hatred.

Author writes lesbian well, but the miltary stuff is sooooo cliche & predictable.

I'm guessing she never served a day in her life.

Some lines are NOT crossed. Duty, Honor, Loyalty. A last night fling before a suicide mission, yes, risking an entire career for puppy love, no.

I have never read a Colleen Thomas storie i did not like. it is very sad that her voice has been silenced. she was a trully wonderful writer and will be missed by any one lucky enough to read any of her works..

Good sci-fi and some love to go with the sex. I hope with the new format showcasing highly rated stories more readers will be exposed to Colleen Thomas.

There's just one thing I miss in most of your stories... In my opinion the story mostly starts where you end it... But not in this case, it's more elaborated and has a form of ending... With a possibility for a sequel. Nicely done :)

One hell of a great read. 5 unquestionably well deserved stars, an instant Favorite, and I will probably start reading it again, as soon as I post this comment. There's just always some little things that I somehow miss when I become this involved in a great story, and they are usually important things.

Besides, it certainly merits a re-read on it's own.
