Sweet, sweet story

... in kindergarden, I knew a girl named Holly. She was my best friend. But that's another story.

I loved this. I'm not ... straight, but this story was perfect for me to read from start to finish. The guy was a perfect gentleman, and, to my relief, not a dick, and not dickless either. So rare to find in a guy. I know.

Or maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.

And I was so pleased to see Holly find her feet, and Phil not take advantage of her, and of her situation in life.

I mean, like, this whole story was perfect, and sweet, and easy, and wonderful, and happily ever after.

I wish every (life) story were this story, minus the jerk boy friend, and I was so happy to take the time to read this story, a real gem of a romance.

I really connected emotionally with this story. Maybe the best I have encountered here. You have a very real talent and I will definitely be reading more of your work. Thank you for sharing this. Heart Melting

Absolutely amazing. As the title says, heart melting. This story captured the meaning of love.
The only thing that I found wrong with it, the fact I can't rate it higher than 5 stars.

There are 4 different kinds of feedback/comment
1- the over the sky praise without telling you why
2- the high praise with comments
3- negative with feedback as to what you did not like
4- just a neutral did not like
5- negative putdown with no reason but is ignorant and rude to the author and other.

As I looked at the comments I noticed one thing very quickly, as is with any other writer's work
virtually all trash talk or worse all are from the same person Anonymous.
If you don't have the guts to step up and identify who you are, then I see why any author should take any of your observations serous.

I wasn't quite sure where you were going to go with the story, but was thrilled with the majority of it actually being a great story and not just filler for a lot of sex. ...and completely novel, haven't read anything like it here before, bravo! ...as far as the commenter below, talking about the different types of comments and anon posters. ....the majority of posters on here are anon, not because they feel the need to hide, but because they feel no real reason or need to sign up as a user. They aren't writing and don't have a desire for the perks of being a user.
I have an account but haven't gotten around to posting anything Ive written as of yet, I dont really use favorites or any of the other perks either so honestly, I rarely need to be logged in.
I'll post a negative comment as anon or as my user name, it really doesn't matter anyway since its just a made up user name (thats oddly popular for some reason since Ive been on numerous sites and its already taken there) so its not like I would be 'hiding' by using anon since nobody knows who I am even if Im logged in.
The only time I really intentionally use anon is if Im dishing personal information in relation to a story and I wouldn't want the one in a billion chance of someone I actually know that knows the user name to be able to profile me and realize that their neighbor, friend, fill in the blank, has this kink or that, had such in such personal trauma, had X relationship problem with spouse, etc.

...anyway you get my point, people aren't necessarily hiding. That doesn't change the fact that a douche asshat commenter isn't a douche asshat ;)

I was looking for something new but ......

found myself reading this again; probably the third time and it's still a great little story. Note the emphasis - STORY; this is not for the stroke story community. Yes there's sex but it is part of a well written, quite believable bit of work. Cat5 wrote a cohesive love story about a couple of decent people thrown together by circumstances who, in the end, win; nice to read a "good guy - good girl" story every now and then.

Is it a perfect offering? One of "the best on here"? No. There are a few authors on Literotica who truly are wordsmiths; I have 4 or 5 favourites who never fail to blow me away every time they post a new story. Cat5 wasn't there yet but is certainly in my Favourites and I search for something by him every time I sign in. I'll continue to do so.

Sadly it seems we'll never see how good Cat5 could have been as he (or she) appears to have ceased writing, or at least posting on Literotica. Too bad for us but life can distract or redirect in a heartbeat so I for one say Thank You for your work and my enjoyment.

I can't say much over what has been said. You have a terrific ability to tell a story...about people, their lives, you throw some believable sex into the story and show us some compassion. Don't stop writing.

I just couldn't get enough of this story. As a reader, this is exactly the kind of story I enjoy. Of course, if you knitpick you can find spelling and other errors, which quality proof reading and editing will certainly clear. I rated this five stars because I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Found a diamond in the rough

I have a ton of extra time on my hands and reading helps to pass it. I read of lot of the stories on this site and every now and them I am pleasantly surprised by the talent of the writers. This story is one of the rare gems here. Thank you for sharing and please keep writing.

It may have a few glitches, but nothing serious. A great blend of 'building a relationship', as well as keeping a storyline growing throughout the plot. Even the ending showed closure to the entire plot. TY!

Great story; I didn't read it for a long time because the title didn't appeal to me. But the story was well developed, well written and really had a first-class conclusion. Keep it up!

Very good indeed. You are more than a writer, you are an Author, (or Authoress). These days I find it difficult to concentrate on a book but not in this case; I was drawn in and enjoyed your story very much. I will say three things: First, in a Romance story sex does not need to be explicit, subtle may work better. Second, marriage is not the final prize, some will agree and some will not. Your job is to make them both happy; Leave an ending that hints at a future but don't risk it all by bringing the "M" word into it. Third, Write a novel, get it published, write a sequel. You are good.
