Good job of integrating the Simon and Garfunkel song as a story. Wonder if anyone under the age of 40 got it? As for myself, its one of my favorites, even have the origional. One of my all-time favorite songs, even though I was born after it came out. And a wonderful motion-capture (so to speak) of the world as it was then, at least according to friends of mine who were there.
(Funny thing -- I THOUGHT I'd figured out the puzzle when I saw the date at the top (3 April 68) and decided it must be connected to the events of 4 April 68 in Memphis. And I shivered. Glad I was wrong on that one ... at least, I think I was wrong. There are still rumors today that the government was behind that scene, not James Earl Ray ...
