This is a well written love story. I like the characters. An they also "feel" real. It is a real pleasure to read a good love story. When you have two people that really care for one another the sex just adds to the story. Keep this quality of story coming. Thanks for the good read!

off the hook

The intro hooked me but by the second page I roamed away. Lost interest with the introduction of the necklace, then the lack of description of where they sat when Mariah was giving them a ride.

A Good Story

This was a solid romantic story. As for the previous commentator, you may be thinking of a story published a few months ago entitled "Overcoming the Bitch". That story takes place in a business setting and it's a romance story too. Both stories are very good.

Jennifer and James are great characters! I love Jennifer. She's the type of woman that deep down is very sweet but has all the guards up all the time. A nice slow melt of her heart! Great story! Even "tough" girls need hugs and kisses! :)

There is nothing to say other than Great! We need lots more of these type of stories. It was well written and poignant. One gets rather tired of all the other types of stories. I think the lack of detail and suspense puts me off this story. It's obvious the direction the plot will take, which is ok, but if there is no suspense it's not very interesting to read. Also, i find the speech to be too formal, as though written rather than spoken, but ... well done all the same

I know you haven't published anything on Lit for years, but I wanted to share a small anecdote.

I was reading your story on my phone while at work, and while sneaking peeks at the screen during a meeting, I came across this gem:

"Oh. You were enlisted too?"

I literally burst out laughing, right in the middle of a departmental meeting. It was pretty hard to explain what was so funny.

You have a great theme and dialogue for this story. The pace was good until the constant grammatical errors, over and over again slowed the feeling of this story to almost a stop. and hits a girl, what do we call it ? Same as when a girl gets angry and hits a guy. No one is so good a fuck that you should put up with physical abuse.

Until that point, I'd loved it. But she proved she really is a bitch. Just imagine how she'll react if she ever gets an idea he actually cheated on her. Think she'll confront him with evidence and ask for an explanation ? Nah, she'll just poison him in his sleep.
