Not working
Silk scarves make terrible bindings. They pull apart very easily. So if he wants to stay still, so be it. But with a simple effort, he's loose. That makes this story unworkable and therefore unbelievable.
Would could you do?
Well the first problem I have with this story is that she would have to have had scarves that were enormous - longer than 7 or 8 feet to be able to tie his hands or feet and wrap the scarf around the seat. I don't believe that I've ever seen a silk scarf that long? The biggest problem is that silk scarves make terrible bindings. It's the silk. It's slippery. Too slippery to hold under the slightest pressure by a full grown man. And last but not least - they trip was hundreds of miles at the end of a day? He's admitted to being "wound up and stressed". So he's getting loose soon unless she's prepared for him to urinate all over her coat, scarves, his clothes and the seat of the car. This tale had promise but too many things happen to make it plausible. Which ruined it.
What to do?
Yank the scarves off - they make terrible knots. Then either take over the driving and go home. Or get out and let her proceed by herself. Go back and do all that's necessary to prep for a divorce. She doesn't love you, she wants control. Divorce the bitch.
Maybe a bad translation?
Because it simply seems unbelievable. Even for fiction. Why didn't he simply push her away? And if this is love he needed to get away from it. It seemed like a control issue and she went bananas. Wouldn't have been married to her much longer.
Enjoying it?
More likely he is in a panic about being bound so completely. With her panties shoved in his mouth and held in place by the scarf he starts to choke. The panties are down his throat tickling his gag reflex. Unable to warn his wife, he vomits. Unable to expel the vomit he asphyxiates on his own vomit and dies before his wife knows what is happening. When she reaches the Chalet and discovers her husband has died the Police are called. Discovering what she has done, she is arrested for involuntary manslaughter and spends several years in jail as the Judge and jury have absolutely no sympathy for her actions. How is this story working for you now?
Wrapped in love?
More like secured by a crazy woman. If she can do this to him for being a side seat driver, what else was she capable of? And I wonder who had to clean up the pee when he pissed himself. He couldn't tell her he needed to go so his pants and the car seat got wet. When she turned him loose and went into the Chalet I bet he got into the car and drove back home without her. Packed his things and moved out. She got the divorce papers the next week. She never saw him again as he had his attorney handle everything. Women! Can't live with them, can't kill them! (Or can we?)
