The old saying,

the truth shall set you free, would sure apply well here. Would have set them all free to have had a much happier life, if it had been told eighteen years earlier. They are both to blame, each has been concealing the truth for their own reasons. Living a lie is just that, living a lie. The pain has already been lived, let’s hope they can salvage some happiness before it’s too late. Great story, sad but great. A fan always.

A Death of a thousand cuts

This is quickly becoming a runaway story. I hope we see an ending by sometime in December. Seriously though, the last 2 chapters could have been condensed into one without harming the story.

Like the story

and I do appreciate your time and effort in doing something I could not (being creative). That said, the story is starting to run long. I can understand one flashback chapter to set the scene but two is too much. Everything you said in this chapter could have been conveyed in a few paragraphs. It took you a whole chapter to tell us she felt guilty, didnt fuck the boyfriend again and loved her husband (but not enough to tell him the truth and risk losing him - pretty selfish love if you ask me).

Anyway, thanks for writing and please keep it up even if I am getting a little impatient :)

I liked this story

You've given the idea that the family is loving and that what was in the past should stay in the past. Now Molly just needs to get off her ass and tell her husband what actually happened in the motel...

Good story but,

the way the timeline is laid out is a little disconcerting. It certainly appears that everyone will live happily ever after but getting there is taking longer than the events portrayed warrant.

Well, I like the length of the story!

When I'm reading a story I like I don't want it to end. I appreciate the detail; it helps fill in the background in the characters.

Nice job!

Good

Wife seems crazy in meeting Ron in his motel room but she didn't know what her husband knew. The issue since the beginning has been lack of trust on the wife's part that her husband would do the right thing and her unwillingness to accept responsibility for her own actions. Such is life.

Dump her and move on

I REALLY like your writing.
I also understand some of the other's thoughts about them both lying to one another, but... BUT!
I see this as a big 'ole great hearted fella who just wants to get along. Rather than confront her, he does what he can to be a good husband and father.
I cannot help but be enraged by lying and conniving women who take advatage of their loving and faithful and trusting "big dumb lunk" husbands. Even though this guy is not "dumb", he chooses to be a gentle giant.
Well, this is the very great thing about your writing, and several others here, some who have already commented about this story; you folks can sure spin a yarn, and I really enjoy reading them.
Thank you very much.
Regards,
Pultoy

We know what he did

Hopefully in the next chapter he discovers that nothing went on in the motel room. He is assuming too much and disregarding the fact that Molly slapped Ron's hands away

He doesn't know it but he has a great wife, a loving wife. One he could fully trust. But he doesn't know.

I can't quite imagine Ron not telling her that Jim KNOWS!

Well Done

I'm enjoying this. It's well written and well plotted. Will be anxious to see where you take this (although I do have a strong idea about that) Thanks for a good read.

Another chapter!

That was worth the wait. I find it difficult to understand the impatience of some readers. I think the pace is good and at least an explanation given for both parties.

I do prefer happy endings, but even a sad one is acceptable.

Look forward to the next Chapter...

Regards

Communications

Very well written story, but like many stories, the total lack of communications between husband and wife craete 90% of their problems. What happened to the threats to Ron if he ever returned? Wife goofed up originally, but since then husband has been guilty of all of the communications gap and his arrogant assumption that he know what happened at motel without any communication with wife make it very hard to sympathize with him. I still believe his vicious announcement at daughters birthday celebration is one of the cruelest stories I've read. good story though. 60 year old George

the daughter who is not his daughter

hell she may decide that she wants to replace her mpother and now that they are not related she can now fuck jim ...he may be able to marry the daughter who is not his daughter ....wouldnt that be a kick ... would be so approiatemolly would see the reverse side and ron davis would see his daughter fucked by the guy who will still possibly kick his ass if he interferes in any way

Should have divorced her from the start

Don't get it. He says that he couldn't live without his wife and daughter. His wife was nothing but a whore and he has no daughter. If it were me, i would have divorced the whore as soon as i found out.If he loved his "daughter" so much, he still could of divorced his whore wife after the adoption papers had been filed. I think that he wasted 18 years of his life for nothing. To the people that commented that the husband jumped to conclusions about what happened in the motel, are you that fucking braindead. She was in there for 2 hours, do you actually think that they just talked. If you are that stupid, your wife has probably been cheating on your ass your whole marraige and you don't even know it. So if your wife went into a motel with another guy and stayed there for 2 hours of more, you would of thaught that nothing happened. That they just talked and nothing else. Fucking dumbass's.

Bullshit

He forgot about her cheating but he never forgave her. This is bass akwards. One might forgive but one will not forget. Unless that one is a brain dead wimp. Molly is a dumb slut that could never be trusted. Why wait 18 years to act? Why not settle things with the dumb wife and move on?

Progressing nicely

Good job to this point. Too bad the husband and wife are so afraid if telling one ab=nother the truth. Jennifer is the one truly betrayed here, along with Ron's family, of course.

Great Story

I really like your story.

I don't know where you are going with this yet but of course there are some hints.

Even if there is no sex in the motel room, I believe the wife is betraying her husband. Why does she feel the need to let Ron have any insight into his biological daughter at all? And the comment about seeing the sadness in his eyes at looking at a daughter he has had no contact with??? I think there is more fondness for Ron than she wants to admit.

Anxious for the rest. Good Job.

Very Good Work

He does not know and can never "know" what happened in the motel. She should have never gone there. Why not meet in a public place? OK secret, secret. Only a miracle will save her.

Ok.

We know what happens at Jen's birthday so now all we need to know is how the story ends.

SO, there was nothing left between Ron and Molly.

The answer is probably in the next chapter, but it explains why Molly didn't know that her husband knew everything. Molly didn't give Ron an chance to inform her.

Motel Meeting

So she went to the motel to tell Ron about Jennifer's life. During that meeting he made no mention of her husband knowing all? That is illogical. Makes no sense.

Thoughts

“I had no sympathy for him since he had a family of his own that he turned his back on every time he was with me.” – EXACTLY! Why in the world a cheating man-slut like Ron is feeling so paternal towards the product of one of his trysts is beyond me!

As someone said in comments on an earlier chapter, why didn’t Ron tell her that Jim knows?

How she can even THINK about Ron “someday” meeting Jennifer without Jim finding out is beyond me!

Since no final Pt 4 comments

Over all the story dragged too much and the flipping of characters was hard to follow and not always accurately named.

Per C the whole premise of this story is due to an act of unintentional adultery.
First, how many time(s) did Jim have sex with Molly at the hospital?

C you're trying to tell us that Molly was so deep into her daydream that she would not know her skirt was pulled up, panties pulled down, a few minutes of being plugged, and Ron popping off, before she realized the meaning of 'this' sex?

Molly is a RN, she willfully decided to gamble her child's parentage even though she could have aborted this risk but only 'hoped' it was Jim's. She is not a RN that I would ever want in my Surgical OR when going under the knife (how many sponges did she forget to count while she was daydreaming during a surgery). She's stupid, arrogant, and vane beyond belief. This is the real reason why she hid this from Jim as he should have dumped her after Jen was adopted beyond the obvious of being a untrustworthy cheater...

20 Years Of Opportunities

Molly had 20 years to come to Jim and confess the truth about her and Ron Davis. But she did not. That means for 20 years she lived a lie. Day after day for 20 years Molly proved she did not love her husband Jim. She proved she had no respect for Jim. She proved she was a liar. She was deceitful and could not be trusted. She backed Jim into a corner where he had no alternative but to divorce Molly.
