good idea
It's a nice premise with lots of possibilities. The dialogue was stilted, though, and you could have taken more time to get where you were going.
I Liked It!
Fun story, light hearted, even the grammar was good! On the barest edge of believable, but lots of fun, although straight guys passing as gay strikes me as a tough sell.
Would like to see more on the same character.

Your protagonist is genius! If there's a more subtle, charming, intelligent way to meet (and mate with) nice women, I have yet to hear of it. Well-written and well done.
(However, referencing your profile, I'm NOT going to speculate on whether you're male or female based on your writing. Robert Silverberg, who's smarter than I'll ever be, made that mistake regarding James Tiptree Jr., and he has yet to live it down! {Google those names for the story ...} )
