A Great Read!
DG, I have to say that yours stories lately have been outstanding reading. This is a great one. To the readers out there. Don't read this story if you don't want to get teary eyed. I'm a guy and it happened to me. A very emotional story

I'm almost lost for words
I rate a story by how well I become immersed in it. This one totally absorbed me from start to finish. Nothing that didn't belong, just a tight story that allowed the characters to develop and grew at the right pace.

it's all about forgiveness.....
I think people can grow up and change, although some would disagree here. And I hope that in most situations, the protagonist would not have to go into a coma in order to "learn the truth." If his wife to be really was "a catch", she would have come clean before the accident, because one's past can never be totally swept under the rug. So I'm not impressed about that cowardly part of her, frankly. I also do not think the tense you chose to tell the story in was the most effective. It reads more like someone announcing a story, especially when she is making "the big confession." Since the forgiveness message is so important for the season, it might be worthwhile to revise this at some point. I see it as a "diamond in the rough", especially as regards presentation. Good luck in the contest!

As a young man I spent a fortnight in a coma. I also had the out of body experience almost exactly as you described it. This above all else made it real for me and transported me back in time 50 years. I heard and saw visitors come and go and was able to describe what had taken place once I came out of the coma.
I truely enjoy your stories but this one was just in a class of it's own. I seldom offer comments on other writers work. There are enough people doing it without me adding to it. It this case I made an exception. It was just so damn good.

I just finishd reading "A Second Chance". It was absolutely outstanding with a small touch of Deja Vu. You see, I'm a retired U.S. Navy SEAL. I was severly wounded once a long time ago. My girlfriend then, who is now my wife, stasyed with me for the entire 8 months that i was comatose. I was told that she never left my side. I just wanted to say thanks for for sharing with me and I hope that you continue to keep writing because, God has given you a truly wonderful gift.

Everyone needs one
A second chance is what we all need, and to actually receive it is a miracle from heaven. This little story is one of the better ones, for sure, and the car crash twist makes it oh-so-human. Twins! Oh, now that's truly miraculous!
Moving
I always enjoy your stories but this one may well have been your best. It was not only a moving tale, but really well written - - with a nice pace to it. Some of the revelations of the story could have been predicted, but you never let the reader run off too far in advance. I really enjoyed the story and thanks for sharing it with us.
You I liked this story for one reason
Honesty.
Even if the female lead in the story has/had a checkered past, and even if he has one too, if they are both honest up front with each other, and both know what they are getting into and still make the decision to do it any way, then I wish them the best and that makes for better story. Though I do have to say I'm kinda bothered by his sister Leah's reaction in the story. It leads me to believe that her husband probably doesn't know the truth, but thats a side issue for another day.
This was one of your better stories, if not the best so far. Very very nice story! And let me also say, Fantastic.
Tear Jerking
Not necessarily erotic per se, but very tear jerking and neat. It was sad in a way, but also very happy in the end. More of these fantasy stories need to read this way.....Very good writing!

Powerful emotions.
This is probably the strongest of your works at this site. From the moment of his reawakening you had me crying.
There are not many writers good enough to elecite strong emotions. It is relatively easy to disgust someone, or to turn them off, but to bring a reader to the point of shedding thie own tears of happiness takes a large amount of talent and skill

Simply Fantastic
It's hard to believe that you can take such a simple plot and turn it into such an emotional whirl wind of a story. I wish I had half of your talent. To the person that bashed "UGH" you should try to be more forgiving. When I read a comment like UGH's I wonder what in their life has happened to cause them such pain. No, I'm not real religious but I try not to judge people because we never know what a person has been through to bring them to this point. That's probably why I like DG's stories. The ones I've read start out with a character with apparently little or no moral fiber but as the story progresses you learn the circumstances surrounding the questionable behavior and you begin to understand why the person did what they did. Again, Thank you DG I really enjoyed it.
