When you go fro 1st person to 3rd person,we have to interject the correct person in the story. The fact that to sleep apart was never even hinted at, then suddenly sprang upon us , the readers, is also distracting. A good proof read should have been the 1st order of this story. This writer is not a native English speaker (I believe) and often chooses words that convey meaning better than their definition might suggest to some of us - BUT - intimate lunch does not require a sexual liaison - she had presented that she had only had innocent interactions with John to date and had, just now, decided to escalate the activity. The lie was that she had already been close enough to want him and was trying to sell her husband on being OK with it.
My interpretation my not be the right one - but it is fully supported by the text of the story, that makes it fully defensible, whereas assuming facts not presented is not. IMHO.
The husband developed a very creative method for teaching his wife, testing his, and claiming his marriage back with some dignity.

But am I the only person who hated this retarded ass story?! Her attitude in regards to telling him she intends to have an affair is grounds for divorce alone, but the fact that he came up with that plan regarding he too having a fling & her abrupt willingness to let her husband fuck other women is absurd & the husband obviously should've wised up & realize the wife is a selfish inconsiderate slut ! I liked the story but really don't care for authors who want us to make up our own endings, especially when the male part is man enough, clever enough and loving enough to offer solutions to save a marriage.
You went from a five to a three and yes - I guess we have to conclude that she did fuck the guy once and ONCE is too many - for a supposedly good marriage!!!

Very unclear as to what happened. From her initial response to his proposal, I doubt that Jenny had sex with her John after she and hubby talked. But I guess that she already had done the deed after the lunch, so what the husband did was to prevent any more cheating!

Either or.
She had sex with John the day after she dropped the bombshell, and for whatever reason she didn't like it or got her itch scratched and agreed to her husbands terms immediately to not have to suffer 2 or 6 months of sleeping in seperate beds and hubby having sex with someone else.
OR, She realized the error of her ways and gave hubby his 2 days to make up for her making him suffer for one day.
Could have gone either way. Perhaps if I read it again I would find a clue as to which. Good writing although I wish your stories were longer. Thanks.

When you go fro 1st person to 3rd person,we have to interject the correct person in the story. The fact that to sleep apart was never even hinted at, then suddenly sprang upon us , the readers, is also distracting. A good proof read should have been the 1st order of this story. Hope you have better luck in the future stories.
