Cheating is Cheating
What people need to understand is that even though they have agreed to an open relationship once you start adding other people to the mix there is no guarantee that every thing will stay the same because human nature being what it is when other people come into the picture the group dynamics change
NO Charlie a man does not own his wife's body
Actually she doesn't own him either. They have a mutual agreement that they will be married to each other and when Mike told Leslie of his concerns she should have listened. She broke the agreement right there when Mike said that he couldn't stop her but that he didn't want her to have other men. There was no agreement after that. Of course Mike had many options and I am not sure of what state you used for the divorce then no state would have made Mike take a dive. Any court in the land would have found ! her lover( the biological father libel) and he would have been able to sue the man and make him pay. He helped fuck up Mikes marriage and he should not go scott free.Marriedwithballs@yahoo.com
Not well-written
The prose here is uninspired. It lacks rhythm and elegance, being instead a rather droll discourse on the couple's marriage. It fails to inspire, and the story's pacing suffers as a result. Curiously, there's no dialog in the story. You would think that the husband and wife would speak to each other from time to time but apparently they don't.
The characterization of Mike and Leslie is modest. To be honest, they're not that interesting. If they have any good points, those're lost in the blandness of their lives. In the context of their open marriage, they simply follow their baser desires and take lovers as it pleases them. When one partner is unaccommodating, their spouse seeks comfort and companionship elsewhere. This eventually torpedoes the marriage, and it's no surprise that the couple divorces.
The plot isn't innovative, and the author's handling is rather pedestrian, devolving into moralistic preaching that does nothing for the literary value of the tale. In conclusion, the story quality is mediocre at best.
Fine Story.
Relatively short succinct story that I really enjoyed. I didn't notice the grammatical errors or the changes of tense because I didn't care about them.I read a story for entertainment and enjoyment and this story was both entertaining and enjoyable. Congratulations author--nice job.

Wow
Very well written story...packs a punch and wastes no time doing it. Top it off with yet another holier than thou narcissistic opionion by alvaron(alwayswrong) for cheap humor. He must be a teacher...you know, those who can't do, but are really good at criticizing those who CAN, and charleybear did a damned fine job with this one.
choices
what took him so long? she wanted others and got others and he gets the 1 for him. it worked out for them
1+1=2 vs. 1+3=1
Nailed it on the head with this one. Marriage/relationship/commitment mean sacrificing lesser things in order to profit even greater from the partnership. People who think they can cheat the system by stepping out of the relationship to meet other needs are cheating themselves and their partners. If a man/woman does not satisfy your sexual needs, do not marry them! Find another person to love, have sex and share life's adventures with. The world is a big place. You'll find the perfect person for you if you try. There are a lot of people on literotica who think it is 'INSECURE' to insist on monogamous relationships. Those people do not know what they are missing. Maybe they've yet to find the right person for themselves. :o)
Half my rating just for your conclusions
Good story, keep going.
thank you leslie
Those are words I would think he would say frequently. Her stuff was put up with for too long and it prompted him to find someone that truly cared. Indifference and tolerance have their place, but not in a marriage. For her, the men she would chose come with a price.
Badly Written
Present tense, past tense, present tense, past tense, etc etc etc
Pretty dull narrative.
view of the epilogue
you live in la-la land
if you think when a woman plays up she doesn't compare the boyfrienf to the husband
i know from experience.
Enoyed the story & author's comments.
Well done author - the husband finally got rid of the skank slut.
I hated it!
SHE WAS ONE SKANKY WHORE ,PETTY SHE NEVER GOT AIDS
This is more of a narrative than story
Very boring and was not able to feel any involvement on this. Just to flat
Based on orginality, I gave it a 4.
Some things in the story would not be true and it wasn't sexy but it was an interesting story.
Okay
Reminds me of another story where the husband encourages the loving wife to take a lover. She does and falls in love with the lover and leaves the husband. He asks "Why" and she tells him why.
She said sadly, What did you expect to happen? He is younger, a better lover, and he does not want to share me with you! Besides that, he and I both want to raise our upcoming baby ourselves. You brought another man into our marriage, now live with the consequences!"
TROUBLE IN PARADISE
and 3 snakes and EVE are involved without the apple a day. TK U MLJ LV NV
the only problem I had with it is
if it's a no fault state and you split things 50/50, why did things go bad for Mike. She had someone elses kids and some how you still manage to fuck the husband. 3 stars
Enjoyed it. Thanks.
Missing logic
No fault state, evenly split assets, - then why did thing go bad for him?
Some aspects of this story are writen nicely and I enjoyed reading it. Nevertheless it might have been nicer if you had rounded it up better than just adding fragment to fragment.
Confused a little
An open marriage by pre-agreement...OK, I can see that. A willing cuckold...OK, it can happen. The part of the story that went over the edge was when she didn't care who the bio-father would be...now that's just f**king stupid!!!!!!
Glad he dumped her.
#2 ITS THE TOYOTA SYNDROME
you asked for it.....you got it...TK U MLJ LV NV
Five stars but ....
A well written presentable story. Word pictures were NOT clear. Why bother with marriage; there is only legal problems there? What do women in our culture give up when they get married? What do you call a promise not kept either to god or man or both? Just some comments and thoughts. You asked for it.
BDEarth
Even in so called no fault states divorce almost always ends badly for men. There often is alimony and the wife will always get the house if she has the kid, yea even if the kid it is the result of adultery. And in many cases the wife does not have to pay the husband his half the value of the house until the last child is 18 or leaves for uni, whichever comes first. If the husband files he will in most cases have to pay for his wife's attorney but that is never the case the other way around. So there are a ton of ways divorce can and will go badly for a man even in a "no fault" state.
Another interesting perspecive
Explores something I have thought about, but I've never seen the concept explored before in a story.
Well written but very cutting edge.
The story was extremely well written but stunk. The characters were radical on the extreme side of open relationship types. Experimenting sexually together is one thing that some couples may explore for expansion of their own relationship. This story overplayed that and it just imploded on itself.
They were not radical -
Only a bit extreme - but not even unusual - in the 70;s their attitude was all too common and the "lifestyle" was in full swing with people who lived and fucked that way -
Today people live that way with no structure - but it is the same shit - "I am my own person", "I have to go and find myself", "I need to know who I am" all invariably end up with "I want to fuck someone different" Apparently what all these requests have in common is the they need someone else to let them know who they are.
And yes it sucks
Well done thanks -
Not Really a Story
Its an essay on "open marriage" with a rather pointed reminder of the potential consequences. Open commentary by the author on the story. Well done. 4-5*. Benefit of the doubt 5
Loved it
Love the tongue in cheek comments at the end. Which is the real fairy tale? Five stars.
Needs one more chapter
Need to see Leslie see his new life and see what she lost. How could she be so stupid as to vocative the comparisons. Also there should have been a prenup as to divorce if this blows up. She didn't love him or respect him. He was good enough to leave her and go with the new girl. She showed him true love. Also gotta wonder at what the parents had to say on both sides. Also they should have had rules in place about what happens. That she couldn't and just wanted a Butler and nanny
Blah
Okay, first of all, as soon as she said she was going to fuck other men, he should have IMMEDIATELY said that he was going to fuck other women as well.
He should have also insisted that she use condoms with her lovers to protect him from disease.
In any case, as soon as they decided to try for a child, her lovers MUST be shut off.
Kind of funny
I like the kind of tongue in cheek conclusion. Of course no one would allow his wife to take 3 lovers and then constantly compare him to them, negatively of course. They were all bums and of course they could ride her like the town trolley, they had nothing to share their focus with or to distract them. When they couldn't support her, she would have to find another bank to marry so she could continue her quest for the perfect fuck, suck and tuck. I know, just had to make it rhyme.
Interesting!
I didn't think that I would like it when he willingly let her have other lovers but then I caught on. Not sure if it was parody, farce or satire but it did give me a few chuckles.
Good Job
Both?
Mike didn't lose much except his misconceptions about his "wife".
***
Plot was a bit different but the unfolding grows on you.
Too bad it has all the emotion of a rock. Flat rock.
3*, but...
3*, but it was a no fault divorce state, they would split 50/50, so the settlement wouldn't go badly for Mike!! Even the house would be 50/50, because the child wasn't his...And wasn't a bad thing to tell what happened to the egoistic wife...If the lovers didn't have good jobs, her money would go away fast...
Meh
lacked emotion. Thanks for the offering.
Damn
She fucked up. Now she has a kid, many lovers but no one to love her. To be a father to the child and no one to cuddle at the end of the day. Meanwhile the husband found another to love him exclusively and bear his child. So who won?
What's the weightage of sex in a marriage/relationship ?
Monogamy - Its the essence of thousands of years of experience & has taken an endless generations of humanity to reach the truth. But, sadly , not everyone learns from history.
The moment sex overrides a relationship, the decay starts. There is no dearth of sex partners , its true love that's hard to find.
It was a nice message, but would anyone who needs to learn be reading this, just thinking.
Story?
I'm sorry, but this is not really a story. It's more of a documentary done in text.
re:wadafug & loveoverlust comments,
i very much agree with you both this is not a story its the present in a news article. we forget the old adage "those who forget history, are bound to repeat it".
why is the divore rate so high? why do people say that its just between the spouse?
well if my friend divorces his wife would like to know why & how it lead to the breakdown of the relationship, why? because he is my friend & i ve an interest in his life, ya , i understand polite etiquette not to ask directly, but still we all want to know what led to the divorce.
So here is a story detailing the downfall of a marriage, just because they got so friendly the never realized the consequences of their actions, but the resolution was justified, it was fair to both, the pain & humiliation mike suffered was rewarded with Teri's love & devotion, & Leslie got what she exactly needed, she got fucked a lot, & life fucked her.
so boys & girls the moral of this true representational story is (IMHO) once you marry, there is only we, no "i" or "ME", you both belong to each other, & actions have consequences. have a live in relationship if you cannot adhere to rules of a marriage & the above rules... it will be best thing you ever do
Blah
The MINUTE she said she was taking lovers he should have said 1) He would take lovers also, and if her lovers didn't use condoms, then he wouldn't have sex with her anymore, and if she wanted a baby then she would have to drop her lovers.
Anything less than 100% agreement to these demands would result in divorce
Crap!
This one is a heap of horseshit!
No fuckin' way he ends up staying with a wife who is fuckin' 3 other guys!
Only redeeming part of this mess is that he dumps the cheating piece of shit for a wife who actually loves him.
Leslie had three lovers on the go so no wonder Mike was coming up short. I only wonder why he bothered trying with her at all.
Had he got himself a lover/s earlier it would only have made this marriage into a sexual competition and I suspect the end result would have been the same.
Pretty stupid really.
