I hope ladies take your advice to heart
It sounds cliched but sometimes people need to hear it more than once. And this isn't from a "nice guy" hoping to get a break. If you just saw me or met me, I'd come off as a "bad boy" but I'm really not. It's just hard for guys to be a "nice guy" sometimes because it's really shoved into our heads that women don't want nice guys and that if we're nice to them they'll take advantage of us.
It's sort of a catch-22, because if women think they want bad boys, guys will try to play into the stereotype and on and on. There are a lot of nice guys who go against their natural instincts because they believe it'll make them pansies or turn a woman off. I think the fear is that they become somebody that younger women are unattracted to, but older ones who want to settle down, like. And no guy wants to see themselves as the "safe" choice.
I'm too tired to know what I mean to say, but I really liked your piece and I hope people listen to you, young and old. It's stupid to go after somebody simply to prove you can, and stupid to cling onto somebody just because you need to be needed. Life is too short to waste.

Wow, twenty years to discover that "bad guys"
might not be the route to go for true love. According to what I have seen, that sounds about average. Speaking as a former good guy (now a cynical bastard), most of us could not understand the attraction bad boys had over women. We never got the "treat women like shit and they will flock all over you" lesson from our fathers. And our mothers were always telling us to treat a woman nice. We would go out and then be pushed to the side as women rushed past us to get to the bad guys. And then, when one of the girls would finally realize that the bad boy was going to stay bad no matter what she did, she would deign to grace the good guys with her presence. She would pick one out and they would get married. But did she bring that same passion that she had with the bad boy to her marriage bed? Hell no, she was married now, she couldn't do those wonderful perverted things with her loving nice guy husband, could she? So, even though she is with the good guy, she is still thinking of the bad boys.
I am sure that a lot of readers will be glad you are with a nice guy now. I just have to say he couldn't be that nice if he is cheating on his wife to be with you. So maybe, you are not really with a good guy, just one of the few bad boys that reformed.

Too bad it took so long to learn
I'm just glad I missed the pleasure of meeting you when you were younger, though I did date a couple of your "bad boy" addicts decades ago. The problem for me being that I lost the desire for dating due to the cheating antics of these "fine ladies" and their desire for the users.
Yeah, I'm single too, and lost the ideal of finding a decent woman for any sort of relationship long ago.
You STILL don't have a nice guy
Nice guys don't cheat on their wives. It isn't what you say that matters as much as what you do. I hope someday you will realize that this guy is not good for you and that you will find what you are after.

" I no longer lust after BAD BOYS like I used to do," yet you're involved with a married man. I have a feeling that if his wife found out his was banging another woman (an older one at that..ego blow I'm sure to her) she would not think he husband is "nice".
