don't think so. character as described is more likely to thank her, divorce his cheating wife, and move away.

see, you describe a character one way, and then make him act against that - violates integrity. if this character has been avioding and walking away from family conflict up till now, are we supposed to think that at this point he will make conflict, destroy the remaining family, and bang the woman he despises?

Great little short. It had more going for it than meets the eye, at first glance, and a long term affair could lead to other things, more permanent things. Thus the possibilities abound.

@JPB: There is one thing I would like to know:

When you describe those situations is this because you search for a way to work through the betrayal and come to a solution everyone can maybe, just maybe life with ? Or is it that you just use the betrayal to geht the free for all sexual romps beyond all morality ?
Regarding this 'Story': It was far too short to get more than 3 from me. The Isea was good, but why did a father take away the sons wife, why did the wife cheat with the father ? I like short Stories as much as the next guy, but at least try to give us the background. 'Open end' is fine, but 'Open everything' not so much.

Every now and then JPB writes a story that I like. This was not one of those times. Most of the time I give his stories 1 star. This was a 2 star story. I debated with myself considering a 1 star.

And probably a fitting revenge. But I'm not sure the image of my Father screwing my wife would be one I could live with. Let alone the ice cold feelings of betrayal one would feel towards a Father and a wife. Murder would definitely be an option. And screwing my Mother-in-law, regardless of how how she was just adds to the creepiness of the situation. If I could think of one word to describe the situation it would be along the lines of "EEEEwwwwww!"

The cheating couple need to 'disappear'. It's easy. There are many places that are remote and with a quick cut to a hamstring, they will never leave. The local wildlife will take care of any evidence in a couple of weeks.

I can't help but feel like this one comes up short.
