Equality - Where When Why
In this age of womans rights, the glass ceiling and equality besides in this story -- is anything valid about why women should expect anymore than what they should give???
A Tainted Viewpoint is like a mirror but should be more like a glass window - for it shouldn't be a "me thing" if the feelings are more towards a shared balance.
In that vein, a question. Ladies when was the last time you bought your husband or significant other flowers other than on ST. Valentines Day??? Or any other day when you feel that you love him???
When did your expectations exceed what you were willing to give???
Does motherhood mean any more than fatherhood??? If so why??? Aren't each expectation what they should fairly be???
Is there imbalance in your expectations??? Why is that?? Can we blame the media for that imbalance for unfairly tipping the expectations or does it ultimately reside inside??? Is perception reality or in this case an old slight of unreasonable expectation???
Should Mothers Day be more celabrated than Fathers Day??? Because it may be in most cases, could that be part of the cause of slighted imbalance in some eyes???
Many males in the market place now hope for equality - perhaps as much as some races and isn't that an imbalance for the future of relationships where the ceiling is like a mirror more than a window to each reasonable level of fair expectation???
When these battles of equals ceases will the war be lost in less than reasonable expectations - in one sided perceptions - in lost sight of what was once intended???
How about a fair minded comparison that really isn't a stretch.
Once upon a time the mean business man treated his workers worse than his dog for the sake of want. The dogs grouped together to resist the unreasonable owner want. They did this so well over time that they exceeded their initial need and became wanters of more just like the other side had. There was no modicom of balance for the common team good as the wants become battles of untrue expectational needs.
The scale swung towards imbalance and grew into supposed tolerance of the perceptional wants of imbalance with the increased costs of secured wants then passed on to the consumers. On and on it spiraled until it became apparent that consumer wants were living more in a large world now competitive smaller and more true need driven than an unreasonable want, that was too unreasonably expensive in direct comparison.
Conveluted - not really as less disposable income drives that. This is true all over business wise but for example look at what percentage of Walmart's items are made in China as the cost of labor and benefits drives us(purchase cost) and them (sales profit) to do that for their profitablity sake. They would say that they have an obligation to their shareholders to produce profit and stay in business - and they would be right - if by the letter and coldheartedly in disregard of the future of America's middle and upper class. Just as the unions have the right to insist on maintaining the way the imbalance exists today. Well, the companies can no longer afford to just pass along those costs in the cost of their products as people can buy elsewhere for less - so it spirals downward as less is affordable by the reduced jobs and lower per job income.
There has been a major disconnect between unions and employers and the government. Everyone now can now lose big and no one here can win without the other's reasonable compromise and other meaningful involvement.
So comparitive to a personal relationship - it should be clear that one can win by exceeding the boundries of reasonable fairness to win at all cost the battles, but in the end to only lose the war (for the agreed upon initial purpose - profit or a family).
Now in fairness in the last 30 years, the business battlefield was unfairly tilted or skewed to unfairness to exacerbate the comparitive differences in product cost by the tolerated(?) unfairness in the other countries trade rules, or import tax and the value of the sellering country's currancy when not allowed to float to true value as ours is this battlefield (our country).
So, why should there be sacrifice today for less than wanted or now needed to sustain today? Because tomarrow's wants or needs will cause more imbalance until there is nothing of value left to fight for in an imbalanced business or a marriage.
See that - I did get there - eventually and hopefully clearly by comparison illustrating that you can win most of the battles or skirmishes but lose the big one by failing to balance the losses and wins for the players on the same team.
Thoughts?
Fine little essay
As for the previous comment, was this the essay about business and politics? Wow, I missed that point.
I did note, however, there were referrences to women being just as loving and romantic to their men. Fairness WAS part of the essay. Besides, it appeared to me that it was written at the request of a man who wanted tips on how to please his woman. Seems innocent enough.
I received a huge bouquet of red tulips and purple irises for Valentine's Day from my sweetheart. I thought it was extra special because it wasn't the same old cliche of roses. He made it a unique surprise and I loved it. By the way, I certainly made his Valentine's just as special, but in a more private way. I love to show him how much I love him everyday, in all ways. We give to each other and don't keep score...we just give, give, give.
Thanks, Goldeniangel. Your essays are always great!
Well Done
This was a great little essay. And all I can say about that first comment is... Dude, write your own essay if you have that much to say! :)
