I'm looking forward to the next chapter. I like your writing style and while the plot seems to be predictable, the characters are well developed, and since I live in SC I'm interested in what comes next. I also noticed you didn't mention the race of George. Maybe his ethnic group should be understood, but I believe that piece of information is important.
