The last few lines are missing.

He simply smiled and said,

"Home"

I smiled back. "Let's go, Darling", I said, hope filling my heart.

Paul looked shocked. "Not with you, Bitch! You think I'm a fucking idiot?". A twenty-something blonde bombshell joined him, and the two of them laughed in my saggy, wrinkly face as they walked off.

It's Different.......... I guess

I have read most of your stories and have to say I have enjoyed them. This one I guess is one that I feel that you could have written more about. Generally I'm more of a btb type of person but what you did with your rendition of this story was pretty damn good. However, I feel that you could have went on with it and at least mentioned whether or not they worked out some things, and, managed to get back together. Or, if they just figured there was just too much hurt to try and get together, Maybe if they figured that with all of the hurt gone, and the fact that they still loved each other, to try and put the past behind them and start a new chapter to bring the family back together and try to work together to be a family again. I gave you 5 stars on this only because they don't allow for half stars of which I would have given you like 4 1/2 stars only because I felt that you could have written more into this part of your particular ending. like I said as far as I am concerned you did pretty good with this.

Pollyanna!

Coulda done without the saccharin at the end. Don't mind (too much) them reconciling, but this was MUCH too fast in getting to what is a pretty advanced stage. Hubby has a LOT to get over to be holding her habpnd and smiling, inviting Sweetie to a coffee.

Garbage

All the pain and agony of her cheating and having her lovers child and they reconcile in 30 seconds. Garbage. 1*

My perspective

A man loves a woman for 16 years, they have two children, she cheats on him, he has no choice but to divorce her. He never stopped loving her, she realised her mistake. She wants back into the relationship. Such is life. Men are from Mars, women are from Venus where they all fuck around. In my case I always stayed friends with the mother of my children. But I didn't mope around, I found a younger and more reliable replacement, married her and she graced me with another child.
My first wife couldn't conceive that I would remarry so soon after the divorce. Her life was beset with problems, mine was full of happiness. Such is life.

An interesting third chapter

As always, a very well written story and a job well done in keeping with the character traits from the first story. I think that Paul got a bit soft with the reconciliation, and that part didn't ring true with the original story, but up to then very well done. I have to agree that there could have been more. I think that with another switch in perspective back to Paul, or perhaps a telling of what was happening with Paul and how he was faring from Christi or Jason's perspective, could have allowed for the fast reconciliation. Obviously the hard line was a result of the pain he felt and the loss that was forced on him (and to those of you who would say he chose the divorce I say he had no choice if he was to retain any self respect), but to so quickly, with no contact, invite the source of that pain and loss "home" was a mystery.

Please keep up the excellent work. You are one of the best authors here and have a gift for story telling, even if I don't always agree with the tale or the characters' decisions therein.

Bleh......

Bleh...how could anyone with even a shred of self respect want to be anywhere near such a cheating slut?
