Great Story - needs editing
You only have about 6 sentences to hook your audience - if you don't grab them then you will loose them.
One way to handle this is to trim your lead-in. When trimming, trim to the bone - get the the humor ASAP.
The other way - and the one I prefer as it aids in character developement - is to find a hook that has nothing to do with the story e.g. stick a one-liner in there or some light(?) remark about beastiality and then go into your character development. Now they're hooked and will either be offended and read more or amuzed and read more. Good luck and keep writing.
