Wonderful, vivid writing
A masterful job of recreating a very different era. While I was only 6 in 1957, I remember when sex and masturbation were such mysterious topics. I never knew anyone who was as comfortable as Nick with the idea of masturbation, and I didn'r really believe that girls did that. I mean, I'd read it, but I just didn't completely believe it.
I have to believe that you are of that time. It is truly amazing how things have changed.
