That was a strange experience, reading a story through translation. In keeping with the 750 word story gimmick, it is as good as any of them. Thank you Bebop3, your stories are always a delight.

It's a very good story ...having to translate it was a challenge but made it interesting trying to figure out which language!

Interesting. Google translate didn't do a great job, made it sound like there was a lot missing, plus some odd grammar. But an enjoyable exercise in reading.

The point may have been, to see who is smart enough to translate it and actually real it! All of you failed and big time. Hereditary Jewelry was stolen from a family and a very smart PI was hired to track them down and the PI found them.You did a number on the airhead heads, lol. Loved it Mr. Bebop3. YOU GO MAN! 5 BIG FAT STARS!!!

I liked it a lot, but there were things missing, genders confused, and a particularly confusing shootout at the end. But overall, very good. Just not quite good enough.

The translation problem was cool, though.

I was bored, and finally decided to try translating this. Google translate Bengali is barely adequate, and results in a story with sentences like

"... "Let's see what I can do. I'll need my retainer properly in front of me, Mrs. . . ."

"Ninguno. Ninguno every day. Will the cash work?

He pushed an envelope across the desk to me. I opened it and looked inside to catch a glimpse of the fifty notes. ..."

So "Mrs" is female, and "his" name is "Ninguno Every Day". Fascinating.

And "... His wife handed me a paper similar to the linen work. I read his attachment.

"What guy, Tinky?"

What people, really, Mi Ninguno? ..."

Similar to the linen work? And the other two sentences are basically gibberish. Context and another awkwardly translated sentence explains that "tinky" is a store, but "what guy" makes no sense. Unless tinky is also a person but that's not clear from the Google translated text. Not sure why you decided to be cutesy with this one and translate it into Bengali, but I guess you felt like accumulating some 1*s.

Mission accomplished.
