The authour did a fine job of catching the pain and alienation of a failed relationship. As well as the fog that time places over it.
Contrasting the past with the present and the hope and joy of a new one added extra poignancy.
Nicely done.
You have been mentioned in the Author's Hangout New Story Reviews.
And utterly true. What love is, was, will become, and can exist within is amazing. This is beautifully written and carefully phrased. "Sunflowers and thunder"- that phrase is going to haunt me. Well done, RayneCrow, very well done indeed.
Congratulations on your first submission and catching the mood eloquently of the trammels of relationship.
Isn't it funny how love works, sometimes... it isn't always perfect, sometimes it fits funny, but at the end of the day, it's still there, breathing, waiting, ready.
Most of it fades, usually the good stuff. But if it's real, there's always some vague hint of it that lurks. You'll never fade completely.
At least, I hope you don't.
