Nicely done, Ronnie!

You didn't tip off the ending but it was still approached with sensitivity.

And to answer the question: Yes, I'll think she will reply!

You're just an old softy!

Regards, DJ

It is nicely done

but the fact you deliberately avoided the nature of the 'promotion' signalled the eventual ending.
Just a question - why is he making it her decision? A man would decide whether or not to woo her and live with her answer after he was free to ask her. Not before, and put the whole weight on her shoulders.
Will Barbara want a guy who is so indecisive? So afraid to take a risk for her? Her answer should be,"When you grow up and decide what you want from life, give me a call".

Great

What an unexpected turn at the end! As always, your stories are a delight to read.

I must confess father...

That this story does have a different slant and is very nicely done.

Perhaps it's as Kanga40 says though and you are being less positive than you should. Wouldn't like to see the lovely Barbara lost amongst the Rosary beads on any account.

My best Regards

Heart-warming story!

Ron,

What a lovely poignant read. You have a unique ability to put into intimate words the feelings that all of us have had at one time or the other. Great Read!

Wonderful

You know how much I thought about this story and how well you did expressing the emotion of the situation. Great read and I just like DJ... know there will be more. ;) I loved it. ~ DC

From the author

I received an e-mail from a reader who (to put it mildly) was unhappy with the story and where it (apparently) went. Stick with me folks, there's more coming. I hope that it will sooth and releive the anxious and angry. Ronnie W.

The Real Barbara speaks:

First, thank you Ronnie, from the bottom of my heart and from the top of my lusting libido. You wrote "his" letter with the perfect balance of love, desire and friendship.
Hope everyone holds on tight to their rosary beads because my response is coming soon.

This story will be the Old Story Reviewed on AH.

It was an excellent tale that at first seemed like just the first, passionate, overdue love of a lifelong nerd. In itself, that would have been interesting enough. However, the bit about him being a priest not only gave extra context to his virginity and solitude, but it also added an excellent surprise. It was well done, indeed. I told myself that I would read one of Ronnie Wachuka's stories, and now I am glad that I have done so. It was a truly erotic and also romantic (without being too sappy) letter.

oh my

This was a story that one sighs gently with the verse, but then there was the paragraph...the paragraph that describes everything an orgasm should aspire to be...now if you could bottle these up and sell them, you'd make Bill Gates look like a pauper.

"You love canal muscles clamp so tightly around me that if my penis had to breath air to live, you have rendered it senseless. You hands wrap themselves around my shoulder blades so tightly I wore purple marks for several days. Your whole body is frozen like a statue and I fear for you because I can't detect your breath."
