After all you could have little green men from Mars landing on the White House lawn if you like. What made this a lousy story is the actions of the characters. First off - not a single likeable character anywhere. Certainly the writing wasn't sexy or erotic. Lacking those things it just wasn't fun or entertaining to read. And at the end of the day that's all that matters. You failed to write something entertaining, regardless of the subject matter.
