I LOVE IT!!!
OMG!!! This is such a beautiful story! I laughed, I cried, and my heart clenched when I thought it was going to end. Great job!
Loved It!
I really liked your adaptation of Pride and Prejudice(which is my favorite book by the way). It was very clever and romantic at the same time.
Charming!
This is one of the more entertaining pieces I've read in a while! Sweet, charming, sexy, thoroughly entertaining. A bit fast to cover so much ground, but then again I was anxious for them to get into bed, too. ;)
FANTASTIC
YOU HAVE WRITTEN A WONDERFULL AND CAPTIVATING STORY. GREAT PLOT AND DIALOG. PLEASE BLESS US WITH MORE STORIES SOON. THANKS FOR A GREAT READ.
Your story…
will be mentioned in the New Stories Review thread in the Author's Hangout.
Ooh!
You've done a wonderful job! I was completely pulled in by your adaptation of my most favorite work ever, alternating between laughing and gasping at each twist. I loved your heroine's strength, and Darcy's vulnerability once he realized how hard he had fallen.
"Darcy Rochester." Brilliant! *wide grin*
FANTASTIC!!!
This is the first story that I've read in the Romance category and I have to say it was a fantastic piece of writing. I'm really looking forward to reading more of your work. Really well done.
Alicexxx
Cute, fun, very cool!
Loved it, I love trashy romance and this was better than most, very fun and cool, heroine with a brain (wow!), and no rape/seduction nonsense, she wants him too. Keep up the good work!
oooooh
this story is wonderful.
I friend of mine who's a sucker for romance recommended this and i must say you did a great job!
got style
I really like your style... when does your first novel come out in print? Just need a good editor though... a couple things that happened were just too over the top for me. But once again... I'm wowed by your style.
Outstanding!
I’m helping a dear friend content-edit her first romance novel and after reading this I can only hope it doesn’t someday have to compete against one of yours !!! I am thoroughly impressed, and am eager to read more!
Nice!
Lovely, fun story.
great
you really have a way with romance
MORE
You really should write more. That was a teaser, and incredibly evil teaser. I plain like the characters and I want to see what happens...so write more...
Bowled Over
It's not very easy these days to find a story that litteraly sucks you in, this one did. It was a wonderfull first of the year read. Thankyou and keep them coming
Gordon Bennet!
It is a truth universally acknowledged that a novel in possession of classic repute must be in want of a parody. And what a parody! Affectionate, and knowing, and masses of fun.
WOW!!!!!
What an amaing story. Well told. Incredibly romantic. Passionate. Great story line parady of my all time favorite novel. I will admit I didn't like how she use the F word, ruining the moment for me. And why was she screaming so much as though she was in pain? It didn't seem like pleasurable screams.I got the impression he was pounding her violently without taking her into consideration. Sorry, but otherwise, it was great.
wow!!!
you really should write more and continue this story .loved it all the way through
more, more!
This was the first story of yours that I've read, and it certainly wasn't the last! The thought of reading a "Pride and Prejudice" erotic parody would have never occured to me, but now I'm anxious to read more parodies of the classics!!!
Excellent
This was a fantastic read and I enjoyed every word of it. Thanks so much!
Loved the ending!
I loved how she remained strong until the end and it was still romantic but she was so strong and... god, I'm incoherent, but really, it was a GREAT story!!!!
great!
a modern jane austen? or a contemporary 'sister grimm', based on some of your submissions. absolutely fab, keep writing, lass!
Oh yeah....
I like the way you write. Onto my favorites list you go...
Heehee!
What a great story and the best line ever: "the mongrel children of the South Pacific" I laughed out loud when I read it! You caught the haughty tone so well! Thanks and I hope you keep writing!
Ha.
Your story had me cracking up like crazy!
Jabba the Waldorf, oh god!
no no no!
The best line in the story was this one, "if you took the combined personality of the room and multiplied it by a thousand, you might have something as interesting as a documentary on socks." THAT was laugh-out-loud funny. Wonderful romance.
Hokey - but ohhh so sweet!
You stole a lot, but you stole like a master thief. Loved the successful mix of pragmatic (even ironic) world-view and the references to romantic books and fairy tales. A true masterpiece!
loved it!
I liked these lines:
It was like watching an Amazon Queen face off against a Barbie doll, one striking and exotic, and the other, cookie cutter plastic.
Picture Jabba the Hut in Donna Karan.
Your opinions are about two hundred years out of date . . . but I suppose you can't help it, can you? You're what, five hundred years old?"
My parents are dead
(parents in high society are such a pain)
I Love it!!
This had everything a girl could want to read! The Best!!!!
Bravo
Now that was the best modern uptake on a fairytale romance Ive read in ages. Kudos to you as a writer.
I would have given it a ten if possible!
Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite books and you captured all the romance and sexual tension in one modern day short story. Great job, really! It isn't often I read something on here that really sucks me in but this had me from the first 'scene'. You really have a talent. Thanks for sharing this story with us.
Darcy is the man of my Dreams!
I adore Pride and Prejudice and couldn't believe my eyes when I say the character's name! And the line from Paris the First - classic Lady Catherine at her evilest! Bravo on a great story - Jane Austen would have been proud.
Compelling
Your characters were very real. This story reads like a romance novel, a GOOD romance novel. I wish it was longer and I would encourage you to write something for publication.
Thank you for an enjoyable romantic read.
loved it!
your use of character names was pretty amusing (every time I read Miss Nemesis I wanted to laugh) and I absolutely love your characters! heh, every comment below me says it all. ^^ you've made the whole cliche original, so thumbs up for that. :) I was seriously impressed. you're a great writer. great writing and fabulous story. :) publish something someday, I'd want your book on my shelf. ;)
I'd wish there was more to the story, but it's perfect the way it is. I'd rate it a 6 out of 5 if I could.
:)
I really loved it. You must already be a novelist by now.
''Jabba the Waldorf '' That's Hilarious!!!!
Good Job!
I liked it a lot but it moved too fast for me. Maybe make your next story longer so it gives the relationship more time to develop.
Great Read
Witty, captivating homage! The phrase "Jabba the Hutt in Donna Karan" is priceless!
This was so much fun to read!
I think the dry sarcasm and wit "got me at hello". I love that it was a melange of different stories and quite good to be honest. Keep writing, excellent job!
what a wonderful read
This was just plain fun and entertaining. Thanks.
Pride'n Prejudice meets Cinderella !
Please keep on writin' !
Simply Beautiful
I love the way you took Cinderella, a classic fairy tale, then meshed it with the classic pride and prejudice, and put a modern spin on it. I actually cried at the pure beauty of this gift to humanity. You should publish a book of short stories like this.
Unbelieveable!!
I can't believe I didn't comment the first time I read this beautiful story. I loved it then and loved it just as much second time round wish it could have been longer with Darcy taking her to the party up north so we could see his friend try and win over his sister. lol Ah well we just be content with reading this from time to time.
the shades of Pemberly...
your sendup of THAT phrase was hilarious. i hope nothing became polluted. wow.
you just became one of my favorite authors!!!
loveddddd the wit and humour!!!!!
Two words...LOVED IT!!! :D
Awesome story! Sequel please!!!!!!!
TREMENDOUS
Excellent writing and a story line that could become 1-2 page chapters attracting many happy readers to become long time fans. BRAVO!
The back & forth banter is so realistic, ask my wife of 35 years as she is a professional and you captured here so well.
I have added you to my favorites list of authors here, please keep them a coming!
Gets me everytime!
Lost count how many times I have read this story but can't help myself and keep coming back again and again and it gets to me every time I absolutely love this story. Thank you so much for sharing it with us!
Sequel sequel sequel :D
