A great story about a connection that neither was expecting... I love it!

Like an earlier comment, I too am confused. What in your story could ever put someone off? There is no gratutious violence, only enough to get the mission accomplished. Two pretty nice characters with a chance to start a relationship based on more than mere attraction. Good for the 'hearts and minds'.

The title says it all.

I always like "bullies" getting their due. As a former Marine I appreciated the 4-1 combat. One observation though.....If he has a "stick" (we trained with pugel sticks to simulate rifles with bayonets) an enemy would NEVER get close enough to swing a fist.

What's there not to love?? .
