This was a tale of two sad individuals. Both of them were weak and tried to martyr themselves rather than face life as it was and fight. When you lose your sense of purpose, what do you have to live for? Unfortunately for these two, their co-dependant relationship was so strong that they wrapped their sense of purpose up into it. When the relationship broke, they lost their will to live. So sad.
