Your character-narrator has no flaws. Story arc was pretty flat and predictable after the inciting incident (Cliff), although I did enjoy reading the details. No midpoint, no tension.

The first-person narrator experienced no set-backs. The lie he believes is that his wife couldn't possibly be unfaithful. His "need" to be shown the truth behind the lie is fulfilled, but he never once has to work for it. He says, "I need to follow my wife to see what's really going on" and he does, and does so with no difficulty at all.
