by Nigel Debonnaire
This is a poem that has depth in its words. The metaphor is well crafted and there are plenty of layers here for the reader to unpeel and think about. Humbled.
A Mentor moves on ~ leaving his books for his replacement.
Eventually ~ everything fits - finds a semblance of order.
A good one, worthy of rereading;
Can be taken at the simplest level with a mentor leaving job's possessions to his apprentice to two aficionados with one carrying on their shared passion and the other ~ moving or dying, perhaps. This piece is rich with possibilities; the best of the day!
