I, too, neglected my wife and our three children, not taking them on outings or spending as much recreational time as I could have. I make only this excuse, I was working double shifts several times a week just paying bills, making house payments, supporting two vehicles etc. At least my children understood later when they had children of their own and were having a difficult time supporting them. I regret not spending more time with my children as they were growing up but my wife often worked, too (not as many hours as I did but she worked) but SHE found much more time than I did to take them hiking and to parks etc. I'm glad that she did, at least and also glad that she did not have an affair to get back at me for working so hard. This selfish woman that wrote the spiteful letter, I am glad that it made her feel better as she lay dying. On her way to her own private Hell, probably.
