Very interesting and original approach. I'm surprised by the ending and could have easily accepted a happier ending, but you did a good job with the way you chose to end the story.

Sometimes you dont have to be a tree to know what the betrayal of love is.

I love fantasy, and the dose of reality at the end only made this story all the better. Gutsy to go with the sad ending and create a far more powerful tale for it. Good luck in the contest!

When I started reading it, I expected something different from the set up. I was very pleasantly surpised and found the story sad, but wonderfully told. Excellent tale!

This is a true Earth Day story. It really speaks alot about how we react with nature.

I enjoyed this story very much-I liked the setting and the simple, honest and innocent character of the tree. This is one of the stories that make me wish I could write anything presentable in English- nice job

It was very well written but the ending for me was very sad almost too sad. It was still a five star storey though.
