All Comments on 'The Chilling Birth of an Emperor'

They are amazing birds, the father caring for the young while the mother hunts food. Yet, somehow, much like humans when searching for one another in a crowded store at Christmas time, but without the aid of cell phones and messages or pre-planned meeting points, they find one another with a cry.

Then, the Orca eats the mother penquin and the mother never sees or feeds her baby and both the father and baby perish, unless the baby is one of the lucky few who is adopted.

Great poem. Only...I would have made it erotic...somehow, with double meanings. That would have been fun, I think.

All very well and nicely descriptive with one tiny geographic detail out of place — I think you could have kept everything intact if you'd said antarctic instead. Still, making for creative allowances, a most enjoyable little piece.
