Sad story, but quite logical
Can't say I loved it, as this is one sad story. However, the story is well written and logical.

This reads like a news article. Erotica it ain't.
Reading about people in 3rd person, past tense, is not really interesting.
I liked this a lot
I was very critical of another one by you, Moondrift, a year or two ago, on the same theme: a son destroying a hard working accomplished mother....
The difference is, that other story, the other woman, was not a eternally bitter woman like this one in this story; she, like this one, got pregnant young and had given the son up for adoption; he was, for some reason, determined to find her and destroy her, without letting her know,,, until it was too late and she, like this one, also killed herself.
But, again, I like this one: there's actually a really good (twisted but good) moral dimension to this and other stories like it: being bitter at the world, at others, for reasons they are not able to know, or are not even aware, is a very destructive force. The reason I liked this was that BOTH mother and son were forever isolated from other folks, through their (the mother and son's) doing: their hatred, bitterness, and mistreatment of each other and OTHER people finally caught up to them and they were destroyed.
So, again, it's an actually meaningful story. The mother-son relationship was actually quite incidental to the larger plot. So, again, thank you. Short but well told tale of extreme masochism.

I liked it. Reminds me of the few Greek tragedies I've read. Good work!
Nice One
Very sad story, but one of the best in this genre. Unusual for me to like this type, but I really liked this one.
Lots of twists and turns.
But a sad story never the less. You seem to have a good understanding of the human psyche and you've used it well.

It read more like an article in some paper than a story, plus the ending killed any hope of it being any good to read.
A very powerful story...
But of course I did not like it, bitterness, hatred and thoughts of revenge permeate it. I like revenge stories but I also read for entertainment and I love happy endings. I do not look for tragedy in my reading, there is enough in life itself. This does not demean your writing effort.

Not erotic in the least, obviously. Well written enough that I got lost in the story to the exclusion of seeing any errors. A good, though extreme, example of how, in our pain, our actions affect others in unknown ways.

Mr. M has written some great stories along those lines. I don't see any need for this one, about vengeance and death. As another reader noted, there's plenty of that in real life.
