We had a boilerman who came to our house to deliver coal when I was a kid. I don't remember it being ANYTHING like this! Excellent write, T! Recommended in today's new poems reviews.

You carried it through to the end, but didn't push it too far. One minor thing: I think you have an extra space before the comma in line 3 ("He listens to the moans , stokes the fire").

I found my breath quickened after reading that. Always delighted in the way your pen flowed. Thanks for sharing!
