Find it sad that this woman couldn't keep either her first vow or second one. It was funny in a perverse way that she judged Charles for wanting to have sex with her though after she had put the final nail in her marriage. Hope Stan has a great life and that Shannon fixes what ever is wrong with her that lets her crap on things she supposedly loves. Gave this a 50 only because there seemed to be some hope in moving past this and yet she betrayed her husband again which sucked so basically it had nothing to due with your writing style or anything, just my enjoyment of the story.

I guess it's just easier to write about cowards than strong males. I know you've had some strong husbands in your stories, and they are the better stories. This male again, sneaked around, had someone else do his dirty work, never confronted the wife and gave up the marriage. Sad
This story was great, the husband handled it in his own way, to bad his wife was a slut, whore. Why does the husband have to confront her, if I am not mistaken she knew she was cheating. All this BS about fighting for you marriage is BS. She could even wait the year and talk to her husband. Fuck her and move on.
I think the story focuses on a critical question when cheating occurs. How do you restore trust? My personal answer in the case of a long term affair like this is, you can't. End the marriage. However, this story explores another way. I think dragging it out for a year is insane. A couple months maybe. But in the end Stan simply placed temptation in her path and she jumped in with both feet. Temptation is always around, Stan just gave it a nudge. Shannon has weak morals: "If I can get away with something it's OK that I do it." That's not a strong position to build trust on. Stan needed to know if she was trustworthy before he got back together with her. Even with having been caught the first time fresh in her mind, she wasn't. Having just burned her hand on a hot stove she placed her hand on the stove again. End of story.
Once a stupid selfish person, always a stupid selfish person. They cant help it, it is who they are. Best thing you can do is to avoid getting into a relationship with them, or just use them the way they use everyone else in their lives.
Even if Charles WASN'T a test, she obviously didn't regret her first affair very much if she couldn't even restrain herself for the two more months till Stan came home.
I may be a bastard, but this line told the whole story, "Neither of us wanted children and we both loved to travel and party." What the fuck do you expect from two selfish "artists"? I have had the unfortunate experience to spend an extended period of time with "artists" and selfishness is the term that best describes them. Their existence is perverse in that it is NOT life affirming. Their lives stink of belly button lint and masturbation. Their lives are spent orbiting their own egos. They are not able to break free from the gravity of their selfishness. Stay away from them they will only waste your time.
At least HE was single, and hadn't made any promises or vows! It literally took half a bottle of wine for her to open her legs like a garage door! No way in hell a woman like that stayed celibate for a week, let alone a year!
The only confusing thing was when Charlie said she paid a heavy price. What price? She got all the fucking she wanted, got rid of a husband she didn't want, AND got ALL his money and property (fair settlement my ass! Remember that in the previous chapter the dumbass wimp gave her a full power of attorney, giving her everything in a neat, and legally binding, letter, where he stated that he willing gave her everything, that he wanted nothing, and was leaving, so he literally signed away his share!), so what, exactly, was that aforementioned 'heavy price'?
Is it ironic, that in an entire series called 'Consequences', there are none? Except for the husbands, that is. Each story ends with the line 'Consequences are a bitch'. Yes, they are, for the schmucks that actually suffer them!
I find it hard to believe that clients in Europe would go to the expense of bringing in an American photographer! She CAN’T be THAT good that a more local photographer couldn’t do at least as good a job!
“I found his touch to be gentle and warm. I enjoyed it almost too much” – I can’t believe that she doesn’t sense any danger here!
"But you are alone now, and I am here.” – I wonder if Stan set this up as a test! Looks like I was right!
