Jake, this was yet another charming little tale leading up to what may be a happy ending. After Johnnie is 'let off with a warning and bound over to good behaviour' they may able to live happily ever after! Pete.

A bit different from your usual fare but still entertaining. Always glad to see one of your stories appear. I always know a good read is ahead.

my great grand mother is named bernice silvers (madden) johnny was her uncle. they lived in a yellow house on bandana here in north carolina. this is an interresting story but nothing like the death of johnny. very cool to still know that my family has a place in history.
