Basically, Aristotle realises that art happens in communities, so he's more concerned with practice. Plato is the birth of the truth and beauty types in the Western tradition. Of course, both have a lot to offer, but for any aspiring artists I think it's more useful to understand your field and its social conventions than to be in touch with a more divine calling. But that's just me :)
