Wonderful...

A beautifully written story. The story felt a bit like a quilt, little patches from your life all stitched together. My words seem inadequate to express how I feel about this piece, so I will simply say, "Well done!"

Very Good

I loved the rhythm. I don't think you need the last line, "She cried." The accomplishment of her making the quilt is enough. I like the part about the mother getting mad and taking the sewing project away. It felt real. Keep up the good work.

And to think that I almost missed this story.

You did well, my dear. Like quilting, this story started slow. Patiently, you tenderly brought the reader for a ride. We saw through your eyes. We felt through your heart. And I can't express enough how much this story touched me. I even called my mother...

If you can make a reader "feel" then you have done a good job. Therefore, I call you an author. Thank you.

This is a story about sewing...

like Moby Dick is a story about whaling. What a wonderful celebration of life, of family, and of a personal journey. A true joy to read, l8 - thanks!

A wonderful story.

A wonderful story. Not even close to what I usually read on here or would normally chose to read anywhere else. A truly wonderful story. Well written and very touching. Yes, the last line is very important.

I almost missed it!

I got to the end of the page and looked immediately for the voting box, thinking that something was missing. I read the comments by others and realized I'd stopped reading too soon. I almost missed the most important line in the whole story. Thanks for a wonderful read.
