A Sweet Story
I don't know what choice I would have made.
I have read few stories on the subject of death and afterlife that was as clear and concise about what we all could expect...or hope for...after this earthly time. Having survived a near death experience and seeing the light I find that I am no longer afraid of death and the the most peaceful moments of my life were experienced during those moments before the paddles of life brought me back to this earthly time....thank you for a wonderful story. Chuck
you have helpedsom
you helped someone by letting us read this
Choices we make every day
This thought-provoking story reminds us to value the here and now. Thanks for writing and good luck in the contest!
Thought Provoking..
Very sad and sensual and emotional all at the same time.
Very well done romance from beyond
I liked your story. I found the first paragraphs a tad excessive as they droned on a bit with the same feelings being given for each and every detail of memory, other then that your story was very good. Not letting on that it was the husband who was the ghost till the end, this was done so very well. Bravo!!!Remember this is just one persons opinion. Thanks for the entertainment and keep writing.PT
A different sort of ghost story
An imaginative variation on the usual ghost story, DW. Good luck in the contest.

This would be excellent
if it were your tenth story. If it's really your first, it's astonishing. I love the way you sucked us into mourning her death with him, only to reveal that it was in fact he who had died. A very poignant story, with a beautifully ambiguous ending.
Oh my
Amazing. We've missed you around here.
Nice job
DW,
very emotional, and a very good tale of sorrow. I like how we think she had passed on, when in reality he had. We can feel his sorrow and indecision. Good luck with the contest.
Geekychick
we all should find peace in the end
Sorrow and more sorrow, yes I also thought he had lost her. In a way, he did.
Good luck in the contest!

I thought I had commented...
Apparently it didn't show up or I didn't actually comment. Wonderful first effort. Good luck in the contest.

Wait for my Story
love it
Really enjoy your style of writing. Hopefully there will be lots more to come
pure true love always dies
Very touching...I loved this one, I loved how the story touched your soul and how you become part of the character and feel what they are feeling. I'm amazed by how you were able to captivate us in thinking that she had died when really it was him. It was interesting reading how he described her at night and with others. I can't wait to see where your next stories take you.
