"inseparable they were"

At this phrase, Yoda jumped into my head, possessing me. He had so much fun reading the rest of this story in his fucked up, bad-English voice that I'll give it a 4. But seriously, the misphrasing does not help the "tone," nor do the odd repetitions or poor sentence structure. Even simple writing tools can be misused.
