A beautiful prose poem

I am a hard-bitten old cynic, and you made me cry. I have never read, on Literotica, anything so touching and moving.

It is simply constructed and goes exactly where you would expect it to, yet the effect is magical, and we find ourselves [at least, this reader does] warming to our ancestors and wishing we were more like that ourselves in these days of hurry and noise and grasping for more wealth than anyone could possibly need, usually at the expense of some unfortunate fellow human being.

Thank you so much for this lovely little piece of writing, which has quite made my day.
