All Comments on 'The Last Man in the World'

Maybe it's just me but this seems too short, a bit incomplete if you will. I've read this twice and still don't see why he was voted most valuable player. For a story to deal, if only slightly, with race relations in the deep South in the 1970's, I would think it necessary to at least mention his color, although I assume he is white. There are a lot more details that I wish were filled in. Maybe it's also because I'm old enough to remember that era. What there is, is very good, but it's just not enough.

Why write about a dark time in the past its time to forget and move on.
