Finally one of these stories has a real husband in

them. What she did was make a mockery of love and marriage. She simply had lust for a few nights every three months. He did the only thing in todays society a grown mature man can do, he left her behind. No doubts, no possible reconciliations (stupid shit), and no hope for the future. Grow up girl you did the deed, now pay the cost. The three things I find remarkably stupid in the story are: a secretary with no more loyalty to her boss than he had; no mention make of contacting the company for having assisted in the breakup of his marriage; and that he took no actions to break up the marriage of the male user on the other end. May sound petty but why let the lovers, either one of them, get off free? Her statement she would make it up to him sounds like a fantasy. Their is no way anyone can make up for what has happended int he past. IT is there, it is done, you cant erase feelings, emotions, broken trust. What is done is done!

Very good story

I appreciated how real this story was and I liked how the husband handled the infidelity like a man and didn't kill everyone in the story. This was one of those rare stories where there were no winners, only losers. Even though the romantic in me wanted them to succeed, the reality is much uglier...and painful. Thank you for a fantastic story.

I understand this situation does occur, but if He truly loved his wife, reconciliation is possible. Many marriages are stronger after an event like this happens. Yes there is pain, yes there is a feeling of sadness, but it does not have to be the end... It is sad how many feel adultery is unforgivable. Nothing is unforgivable between humans... Wake up and smell the roses, folks...

a bit formulaic

Good story, well written as can be expected from thecelt.

But (isn't there always a 'but'), it's kinda of the same as many previous stories from this and other writers. (It feels rather like Dan by Just Plain Bob.)

The hardest thing in this Loving Wives genre is to come up with something new. How many ways can you tell these stories? My admiration for Harddaysknight stems primarily from his ability to give a new slant on the LW story every time, that and what he writes is always well written and often funny.
Again, good story, but no surprises. I suppose I selfishhly want to be surprised.

No she is a bitch and a wet dripping cunted slut. In a marriage both parties should agree if there is to be anyone else in the marriage. A wife can fuck others if the husband is agreeable and vice versa. The best way is for them to have threesoms or moresomes or every how manysomes. The husband can either be bisexual or not but he has to agree. When a (wife?) does what she did the marriage doesn't exist. If the husband is not agreeable to the above then there shoiuld be a divorce and thats that. To cheat is the lowest form that any woman or man can stoop to. I have only one question. Was Cal married. Your portrayal of the husband was wonderful - - and I sensed reality, which is the hallmark of a great writer.

I do agree that the basic premise was not new but I'm not sure that there are an unlimited number of basic plot lines on cheating in a marriage. In fact, I think that I (and hopefully many others) would love to see some of the Consequences stories revisited several years down the road - - kind of a 'where are they now' episode.

I enjoy all your work but I particularly liked the way you constructed this one. She clearly thought she believed she loved her husband and that her affair with Cal was subservient to that love but in the later part of your story she came to realize that she had put the two relationships the other way around by not noticing she was no longer making love with her husband many weeks before seeing Cal and by worrying that Cal might stop the affair when he got married.
I'm reminded of a statement one of my guidance counselors used to use; "What you are doing is so loud, I cannot hear what you are saying"

I'm glad that Jason had the balls to dump the cheating slut. My only regret is that Hilda didn't get fired for sticking her nose where it didn't belong. Hilda's loyality was owed to Jason and not to his slut wife. Consequences are a bitch.

What I like about the Consequences series is that the stories portray in a realistic way the effects of selfishness and deceit on a marriage. As someone else has already mentioned nothing was over the top in the strory. The author created real people in a real marriage with real actions and consequences for those actions. Another story very well told by thecelt.

I need to say thank you for a very well written story. It was completely entertaining and yes there are other stories of this same vain and I don’t care, as stated how many different takes are there left. You did a great job of your portrayal of a self-centered woman who just now is getting an inkling of how self-absorb she is. She really only cares what others think when she wants something, other wise only her needs and maybe a little giving to keep people inline are necessary. It is a way of life for some personalities to think they are doing right by themselves so it must be for everybody’s benefit and they are righteous.Lets face it the Husband has said "If you love me, please go. Let me go. I can't forget what I saw and I could never forgive what you did.” This is indeed a problem that even time may never heal. Her rebuttal has shown him how little she really sees her own actions as being really severe. It maybe they will both have new lives with a clearer understanding of who they are and what they require. two things.

1) What happened to Cal? Give his reaction, I rather doubt he would let Cal go on w/o any payback, such as informing his wife.

2) As thebullet pointed out these are becoming rather formulaic. If the main gripe against the wimp husband stories is that they mostly follow the same plot, stories such as this are rapidly approaching the same state. The only saving factor is that the wimp stories still outnumber these stories.

Also, there is something strange about the reviews of this author. Immediate 100's WHATEVER is written?? Are these bloodthirsty for revenge reviewers throwing out 100's right and left for this author to kill the bitch for a lenghty clandestined sex only affair, the same reviewers that were giving out 100's crying for reconciliation at all costs in the plot of this author's Billy series, a much more serious situation, where the wife humilitated the husband before his employees, also for years, leading on an employee that loved her, and where the husband allowed the humilition by keeping the guy she repeatedly had sex with on salary, paying the guy big bucks to do it, promoting him, and then becoming his friend again (they all went for drinks)?

Your Predictable Is Greatly Looked Forward 2

Most authors have a predicable ending and that is dictated by what precedes it. For that you Author are really looked forward to as you bring lifelike reality and talented writing to your efforts.

Justice is served and the guilty suffer consequence. That's life as it should be read, viewed and lived. When it doesn't there is dissatisfaction and oftentimes anger for the disrespect without consequence.

No one should want to see someone in pain by another's actions yet that is often glamorized here - in some cases by using a poor excuse for a man or human to garner self disrespect as desired by the idiot excuses for a a man - which flies in the face of reality and humanity.

Those who write or like or require self disgust & self disrespect while very few - it still rankles the lady of justice as well as 99.9% of us with fairness in our heart and mind.

Those subhumans into helpless or sought humiliation are humiliation freaks who have lost their way and most of them will never find their way back. They just go deeper into new things because they grow callous to the old distortions which used to excite them. Their selfishness short changes their life like the teenagers into dope who can never go home again while real life passes them by.

This isn't rocket science but neither is the fact that nearly 50% of all marriages fail due to lack of respect or trust.

So talented Author, keep up the reality so often not here as it is not only refreshing but also entertaining to see life working - not contrived by those without a heart or common sense.

Every now & then I return to read ALL your 'consequence' storles again. They invariably seem to get deeper into the characters than most. ln this one you also seem to touch on a thought I've rarely (NEVER?) seen in any of these LW stories in which the cheating wife's standard "MEANS NOTHING/ONLY SEX / LOVE ONLY YOU" line is used again & again. That thought is that the true TEST of the depth of love is the willingness to let go for the good of the cheated upon. Way to go Celt.

Celt: Besides being well written and deeply thought provoking, I also find your stories "true" in the sense that love, betrayal over sex, and deep regret happen over and over. But what happens then? In most of your stories the woman discovers what really mattered but she discovered it too late to prevent her betrayal and "save" her marriage. Some were shallow and probably never really "learned" from the experience. But I get the impression that some did and I would assume that some do learn in real life. So then what happens to them? What eventually happened to the women in your stories? Also, you write persuasively that such betrayals spring from selfishness and base sexual urges. You write that these are valueless compared to integrity, love, family and character. So why does the story happen (in real life) over and over? Is it not because, valueless as those experiences are, the motives behind them are nevertheless very strong? Very few young married lovers will read your stories. They are read mostly be those of use who have betrayed and been betrayed...and by some of us who have experienced both. Shattered love is sad. But what is more sad is that young men and women so often do not learn the lessons from your stories...until they live out their own. And by that time it is often too late. It is for me. Nevertheless your stories help me understand. For that I thank you.

Your one line from her tells of her hatred for her

husband despite what she says. It is: "The man in Chicago had nothing to do with love: it was just sex." Sex is why a man and a woman marry, they marry to have sex with each other and maybe to have children. You swear in the formalization of your marriage contract to forsake all others, that contract is broken as soon as you dont forsake all others. Divorce is simply the formalization of the split. The woman her hated herself and her husband so much she willing had sex with another knowing she was exposing herself and her husband to all of the medical, financial, and physical risk such an affair engages. You dont love people you set out to hurt.........

Sharon's sorrow is complete and pervasive. This story, like your others, leaves the reader asking for more. Only you know the characters. Only you know their true motivations. Only you know how the story really ends.

I am sure that she regrets getting divorced. However, she wasn't truly in love with her husband so, since there are no children, the divorce is no big deal to her. She will remarry and her life will not be much different with the new husband.

Her husband is the only truly injured party. He loved her too much and her affair will leave him bitter and untrusting of women. In time, he will remarry but without trust the marrage will not be complete. It will be more like friends with benefits instead of a marriage.

Another great job

I have known a few women who cheated on their husbands. They all have one thing in common - extreme selfishness! Their selfishness exceeded their intelligence. Usually these women are also somewhat good looking. This is a lethal mixture. I have met the men these women married and for the most part, they were not too bright either and were simply attracted to the woman for her looks and ignored her lack of character. When the infidelity was uncovered, no one was really all that surprised.

Great story

First off if I was Jason , I'd fire Hilda ( his secretary) she had no right to give his information to the slut he married. Hilda's loyalties seems to lye elsewhere but it certainly isn't with Jason--she forgot or didn't care who buttered her bread. I would've fired that bitch the next day at the office. Shit--poor Jason, his secretary sold him out & his slut of a wife has been fucking around on him for 2years with no intentions of ever stopping. I think it was idiotic of Sharon to try & "fight" for Jason when she so clearly doesn't love him; she was still planning on lying to him about what cal was actually doing in her room,she was even trying to plot on how she can continue with cal. I agree with Jason that being with cal seem to mean more to her than being with Jason. I didn't sense any guilt, remorse, love, respect & acceptance of responsibility from Sharon. It was all about her. Even towards the end she just had to cause him more pain, she dragged her sorry ass to his place when what she really should've done was just leave the poor man alone. I didn't sense any love from her, what I sense was a woman who put everything first before Jason, first her job--which is the reason for them not being able to start their family , than its cal, the sex was too great for her to give him up regardless of what consequences awaits. She was even afraid when she found out cal was getting married & they'd have to stop--this is the woman who claims to love her husband! Where's the love! Does Sharon think that Jason gives a damn about her & her dusty pussy? She's just another old slut to him he doesn't want her. She threw away a man who loved her , who was willing to build a life with her, all over a piece of dick who don't give two shits about her. I mean unless you have an I.Q of a brick you'd have to have known the pain that you'd inflict on a spouse with such a betrayal. The fact that Sharon has been fucking fuckface for two years with no plans of ending has me a little baffled as to why she want Jason back?
