The things I really liked were twofold

One: he didn't need to see his wife taking it up the ass in his own bed to realize that she had moved on. All it took was a lie, a look and another companion.

Second: his awareness. When I read the story about her lounging by the pool and being late from the sauna, I was thinking that the story was going to go in the direction of her continuing her flirting and fucking around.

Instead you nailed it. If I was thinking that, how could the ex husband not think that? And it wasn't the actions but the doubt that would weigh in his mind.

Not by HDK's story, but by DWornock's comment. Does he seriously believe that every fight results in an assault charge? And that's his basis for rating a very good story a 1? It just doesn't make sense. First, Mike followed his "best friend" into the restroom. He initiated the contact with no witnesses. So it would be a he said, he said. Second, Mike would have had to report the assault to the police. He might be feeling just a little guilty, don't you think? So it's certainly plausible that no assault charges would be filed, even if this were real life and not a story. Third, an assault would have no bearing on the story the author was telling. So why would he include it? He didn't tell about the mole on his mother-in-laws butt either, yet DWornock didn't complain about that. The only thing that I can think of is that DWornock is a troll and doesn't really believe what he writes. A troll is someone on the Internet who enjoys writing inflammatory things just to get people worked up. Why this is enjoyable to trolls, I have no idea. So either DWornock is a troll, or just not too bright. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt.

That one hit home. In my experience with women; girlfriends, a wife and two daughters - they are much more flexible with reality than men are. Women seem to have the ability to deceive others as well as themselves with little or no emotional consequences. Men on the other hand clearly identify friend or foe and keep track of threats. It is in a man's nature to protect his home, and his family. When the enemy turns out to be from within it is a hard hit to absorb. Trust is key to mutual survival. If you can't trust your partner to remain faithful how can you trust her with the family finances? What happens if you get sick? Will she be there for you? She can't keep another guys cock out of her pussy, how can you trust her with the big survival issues? Especially after many years of marriage and children, to find out that someone has cheated on you undermines the foundation of the marriage. How can you really know what else has happened? How many secrets has she betrayed? How much money has been embezzled? Once the trust is gone - the relationship is dead.

it is a pity

So many men in your stories get physically sick and end up vomiting when confronted with their wifes infidelity. My own experience is diferent, when I caught my wife in bed with her lover I wanted to punch her and her lover, however not wanting to go to jail I refrained. Just frickin' perfect. No one, neither man nor woman, can ever be trusted again once they are cheaters. I have a dog in this fight, so I know.

My wife was cheated on by her first boyfriend, a young man I knew well. Everyone knew he was cheating with everything he could stick his dick in, except his girlfriend, my wife to be, someday. When she found out she was devastated, as could be expected, she was sure he was the one to grow old with and have his children. there wasn't much of a prelude to this story. if her only betrayal, was having a dinner with his best friend, and it was the first time. over reaction is the word that comes to mind, about his original divorce, and should reconsider his stand.

This story is a classic example of why when one of a couple cheats, they should split, immediately and have little to do with one another again. The one who was cheated upon, no matter how much love is still involved, will have trust issues with them, no matter how long they stay together.

No, best to rip the bandage off and have a clean wound to heal properly. The one who was cheated up will still have trust issues going forth, but at least they won't have to be putting up with a proven cheater.

He should have thanked her for the closure that she had provided him. He couldn't trust her, so there was no partnership in their future. More so, the divorce was done, there child was grown and she had proven she did not care about his well being. Was the fact that she was lonely and depressed that she had turned into an adulterous whore the reason why she wanted to get back with her husband and somehow "erase" her sleazy past? Certainly she had not cared about her husband or her daughter before. Oddly, the statement about her daughter still loving her had me baffled. Have you ever met a child whose parent cheated on his/her family? Children are most often the harshest critics of their parents. Adultery often warrants a death sentence in a child's mind. I have seen this logic used before on this site and it has been the opposite to my experience in life. You see, the children are cheated as well as the spouse! Get it? They are also cursed by being a blood relative to a cheater. That is reality.
