I have spent the last 2 days reading this story and it is absolutely amazing, the sex is great but the storyline WOW!!! I can't get enough of it please please keep writing. Its kind of funny I never would have thought that I'd find the next great science fiction novel on an erotica site. Lol keep the good stuff coming.

The work here is exceptional. The work that is purchased on amazon is very bad. The parts here are almost completely the same and are great. the part 3 is a totally different writing style and has several things contrary to what is written in part 1 and 2. Even the mentality in how it is written is very different.. It also leaves you at a major cliff hanger more so than here. And still no end in sight of this story...

Has taken me almost a week to get through the 3rd part. The first 2 parts I have read here many times and took only 1 and 1/2 days to read again after I purchased on amazon. The 3rd part is just that hard to stay focused on its that poorly written and so out of character.

maybe to show how stubborn I can be about censorship. i should write a very detailed explanation of how bad part 3 is, including examples and past it to a text file on my desktop so I can post it here multiple times here daily.. Or maybe I will just post this daily..

censorship just shows how much your trying to keep how bad the amazon book really is a secret..

I am happy to have purchased it since I can have it on my iPad, even though I despise the part 3 content.

There have been some comments recently which need clarification. Firstly, every word of this story was written by the same person, namely me - C Paul Lockman. There is no plagiarism. The concepts, characters etc are my own.

Secondly, I welcome discussion of the story but cannot welcome unsubstantiated and purposefully overcritical comments from anonymous readers. I don't believe that makes me overly sensitive, only proud of my work and keen to see it maturely and sincerely discussed. Opinions on the writing style, for instance, would need examples to support the point. Besides, I don't detect a significant difference between the style of what's available here, and the completed Ebook; they were, after all, written by the same man, in the same month!

A Very Good Story, But...

I've been reading LITEROTICA for years, and this is the first time I've ever posted a comment on any story. I'm posting anonymously, as I won't be bothered to sign up for sake of making *one* post.
"Alien Impulses" is a well written and well thought out work of science fiction erotica. Other posters have done a better job than I of describing this, so I'll not even try. Some minor plot details, numerous typos, and a decidedly socialist point of view aside, this is, and remains a good, high-quality story, and I'd love to sing it's praises.

I can't.

I'm not a fit judge of whether one story or another is good enough for publication or not. Anyone who completes a story and posts it here has my utmost respect; it's more than I've accomplished. I look forward to enjoying many more free stories on LITEROTICA.
When someone starts a story and posts it here, then doesn't finish it because their life get's in the way, that's one thing.
When someone posts an unfinished (and very engaging) story here, then says essentially, that there will be a charge for the rest... that is quite another.
The author subsequently published the completed version of this story for profit elsewhere on the Internet.
The author puts no mention that there will be a charge for the end of the story in his introductory comment.
I've been conned.
The very least the author should have done, is to tell the reader they must buy the completed story ftom the start.
Now having said all this, I wish the author every success with his writing, and while he won't be making any from me, I hope he makes a lot of money from his stories.

And now, I yield the soap-box to the next malcontent... ;^)

Is the story thats sold on Amazon a book or digital download?

Im just trying to get a much better understanding of what it is. I would buy it if its a book and not a download. But it does not say in the posted information about it. All it says is that its the Kindle Edition and I don't know what that means. So please clarify if its a book or a digital download thank you. Thanks for the great story even though it's not completely finished on this website.

Can't wait for the continuation. As well as the high standard of writing, my mind boggles at your imagination. Well done.

I will say it cause no one else will, I disliked the main character. He is too good of a person, and well for someone who is supposed to have emotions on an alien world he showed none. One paragraph head spent on the realization his parents were dead and that he was truly alone. Sex can only solve so many things and it is clear that he should have had issues.

Good writing, but lacking in realism and like ability.

How in the Devil could you stop there and leave Sci-Fi fans hanging?

I totally enjoyed the sci-fi parts, didn't worry so much about the "emotions" aspect, couldn't figure out what was different about the sex he was having in a civilization that was drop trou and boff anybody anyway... but, please return to the writing of this story, or do we need a Bofin to halo you with a red cube?

Wish I liked it more

I enjoyed it but found the last ten or so pages showing the writer's fatigue. It seems the plot kept him going rather than lives and emotions of the characters. The science was fun, except where it was obviously ridiculous. Imagine the G force of decelerating from even 10% light speed in 2 hours as he does returning to earth, much less 30 times light speed. The guy would have been a molecule thick slime on the inside of the spaceship.

The environmentalist diatribe got a bit tiring too.

I also felt like the author was in the dark with a flashlight looking for the next string to guide the plot along. For example, why not just have the ship at the bottom of the lake fly itself out and go the to bottom of the Irish Sea? Nope, we need to take them to Europa! At that point I didn't think I'd finish but stuck with it till the end.

However, those are trifles. What really disappoints is leaving the readers cheated of an ending. I know how hard it is to finish a story but anyone who gives the author their attention for page after page deserves a climax and a denouement. I understand that the writer finished this and is selling it online, which is fine, but to hook readers and leave them like this just bad form.

So I vote 5 for effort and an amusing diversion, but a 0 for responsibility, and maybe a 3 for plot and sadly 2 for character development. There is really very little to like about our hero and he seems paper thin.

This story is long. If you took the time to read it you would know why its so long.
It was AMAZING.

Really impressive and imaginative, sure its a little far fetched in spots, but isn't that what sci/fi is about? ... wow. I have loved reading this tale, it's so compelling and well constructed.

Only criticism is that it could do with a bit of proof reading as there are a few spelling mistakes and incorrect words here and there, however, this doesn't detract from the quality of the story.

Please consider completing the tale, I'd love to know if he makes it back to Falkirk and Takanli or if he decides to stay on earth with Gemma, or does he manage to wangle both?
