They are so cute! I hope he isn't running from anything tooooo bad! Maybe just something big enough that when she finds out she will have a fit and we will get some nice dramatic tension, will they get together or won't they get together, you know...no horrible dirty gang of toothless outlaws that come after him and try to rape her or something though...hopefully! I hate when that happens...and it always seems to in historicals! Can't wait for more!
about watching the age of your slang... The hardest thing to do write when writing a historical is to keep the dialect as close as possible to the truth of the age.
