You have a way of writing that can bring tears to ones eyes and also happiness. Keep up the good work and please repost all your stories
I cried the first time that I read it, and upon reading it again, I am crying for the second time..... Thankyou for the emotions that you surely do stir in me.....
Mike
Such an amazing story. I never read it the first time it was posted. Very sweet and romantic.
for me this one is the Crown Jewel of your collection of Gems.
Thanks again

Such a beautiful tear jerker story .makes me feel kind of warm inside.
This is a very special story that deserves a place in each of our hearts. It can be read and treasured each year -just
like that Unique angel for the top of the Christmas tree.
Thank you for reposting it as it is new for some of us!
I read it before and feel now the same emotions I felt then. An absolutely magnificent, loving and romantic story. Congratulations. G.Belgium
Like all things sweet the taste has to be just right. This story was way too over the top to be digested without the feeling of nausea. Quite nicely written but not credible enough to be enjoyable.
This story is just beautiful. I'm not sure why a Christmas story was posted in February, but no matter; I liked it. I found the story to be perfectly believable with only a few hiccups (Why didn't Nathan put Carlie's clothes through the wash during that first day?). A beautiful story.

but I read this with tears running down my face. Great story.
Pete
A damp eye story that I've read several times. Thanks DK for putting it up again.
Jim (The poor ol' retired cop)
I tried to access Christmas Blessings the day you pulled your stories. This story is one of my favorites. Thanks for reposing!
in time, i understand. but your stories are always so good. I had a good cry in this story. You write so well, and are able to mix emotions in a supreme fashion. Thanks
Ms. Kitten, you got a 10 for this one but it only showed up as a #5. Same score though. :)
You have written some great stories that have touched me in many ways. Thank you. As a widower (age 76) that had over a half century with a lovely person, I can love when it is expressed - and you have, again. THANKS
You write wonderfully loving romance stories. They really needed one more child, a girl. Carlie should have one of each. A heart rending story and a great read.
... made me all teary-eyed. One of the best romantic stories I've ever read anywhere, anytime. Thanks DK for posting it again.
I loved it the first time I read It and I loved it now.. I still cried the 2nd time around.. wonderful story spinner.. Keep up the good positive work DK. You have an amazing gift, and we are truly blessed that you share it with us. :)
You are rapidly becoming my favorite author. This story was so real. It is a gift to be able to create and present tales like this. I thank you for sharing this with me.
Made me tear up. Must have something in my eyes. :)
scare me at the end! I was so afraid that Carlie/Dara wasn't going to make it. Beautiful story, realistic characters, and a heartwarming read all around. Please keep writing and I'll keep reading.
Great story. That little twist near the end was quite cruel, though. I muttered, "No!" and almost stopped reading before I got to the end. :)
A lovely story, romanticize me to bits.. Just something to consider Danielle..If you ever find a person dying from exposure not shivering, the first thing you do is to wrap their stomach only, leaving the rest exposed..The blood collects there and has to be started to move again ever so slowly.. The worst thing you can do is to wrap them in aside your fireplace.. Keep them cool start with the stomach and as you see limbs arms etc slowly come to life again you can massage.. This process takes hours, otherwise they probably will die from the shock and gangrene..This lesson I believe was learnt at sea under the second world war (convoys) ..Cheers Yoron
You knocked the glow out of me with that ambiguous situation
in the church! There are times that shock puts us out of phase.
Your creative skills flow effusively, Ms. DK -- thank you for sharing your special gift with all of us, your loyal readers! (PS, please put out another Christmas-themed story come the latter part of this year; it is quite apropos, after all!)
You would have to be one of the best, if not the best, writers on this site. Do not deprive us of your talent. Continue to to post your stories.
Never let it be said that you are without talent. I have read and re-read this story and each time it brings a tear. I suspect I am just getting soft in my old age, but that does not deny the truth of what you write. You are good.
DanielleK, this is a really, really great and sweet story. I never cease to be amazed at how you can write in so many genres.
what a lovely story. i was tickled to see you mention my very favorite author, john sanford as well as j.d. robb who i also read. not only do you write well, you have great taste in other authors too! thank you.
love it, though the sex scene are almost exist but the romance are quite ... you know...ROMANTIC..
keep it up please..
I'm in tears. That was a wonderful Christmas story and it's not even Christmas. Again I love your work and this one is definitely up there with all the others that I consider fantastic.
Full of emotion, romance, and love. I thought we'd lost Dara there at the end--you gave me a scare--a twist that I hadn't expected. Anyway, I liked your story, and look forward to reading many more of your stories.
My mother died of breast cancer recently. Somewhat like Nathan's wife, she never said a word until it was too late. My father was devastated and died shortly after. I sat here an cried, wishing he'd found a mystery woman like "Carlie" to heal his broken heart. You captured Nathan's loving way with his children so perfectly. (I think most female readers are suckers for a primary who's a great dad.) I found the ending of this story a little rocky, as though you had distanced yourself from it and had trouble stepping back into it, but, overall, it's a lovely, romantic Christmas tale. A keeper. Thank you.
Danielle, I adored this story along with the others from you that I have read.. this one has pulled a special heartstring. Thank you for giving us readers such amazing stories to read.
So so very sweet and wonderful. Thank you to you for giving us such beauty and comfort.
Oh my goodness...who would have thought that there could be such a great story on Literotica.com!! Until now, I have always read just plain Erotica...now I'll definately be looking out for more stories!! More more more!!! I loved this story! Was long but kept me reading as I lost track of time! It felt like only 5 minutes ago that I've started reading this story!! Wow!!!
that I will demand that Santa leave a big smelly turd in your stocking on the 24th. I have to empty the puke bucket twice on this one, and I can usually handle crap like this pretty well. We are all so delighted that so many emails requested that you rerun this story. If you hadn't made that up, I'd ask for the list so we could have some more stocking stuffers ordered up for those folks as well.
this is a love story with almost no sex that does more to warm the heart than anything i have seen in awhile, and the guy with the turd comment coal for life
This was certainly one of the best stories I have ever read. I am still crying as I type this, what a beautiful story!
Mate, if you can't handle romance and want a quick fuck, what are you doing on the romance thread? go elsewhere and keep your nasty comments to yourself. this was a wonderful story!
ya man im just 15and i found this story so beautiful it almost made cry however i didnt only titanic can do that anyway the main point is that if u hate romance then dont read this story and badmouth it and incase u havent notice love is different from sex
I like the romantic types. Good tale well told. Thanks and keep good stories like this comming.
I'm glad you reposted this story, Daniellekitten. I always get a good feeling when I read it.
Hope all is well with you.
when i read to the last page, and she got sick, I was about to throw my computer! but she is still alive... such a good story...Ive got tears :)
I've read this one several times. I'm sure I'll read it again. Thanks for putting it back out there for us to enjoy.
True Love,i cry every timi I read this happy but still sad,I love it and pyay to read it in Cecenber when both my Wife and I will be 80!dLove
Your writing reaches out and touches ones heart, something all to rare these days. Thanks and please keep writing, i looking forward to reading some of your other stories
I truely enjoy how you write. I was tearing up every page or two about something, then I thought the story was winding down when she had the baby and then oh no she is dying. The next scene was the family at the church where I thought for sure Dara had passed away. That was a very mean trick. :o)
I loved this story.
Tears of Joy, Tears of Saddness, and tears of a love lost and a love found. Thank you for writing this and letting all of us read what you have created. This has touched me in many ways.
A skillfully crafted work. And, by someone that understands the difference between taut and taunt! Please continue writing, you understand emotions are what drive us!
... sighed when it was over, wishing it wasn't done yet, knowing that it was complete ... you are such an excellent author. I'm looking forward to reading more of your submissions. [Gualterio]
I loved the great story. However, the North Star isn't even close to being the brightest star in the sky.
Thank you so much for sharing this story. The depth of pain in loss, and the height of joy in healing and new love, remind me to expand my comfort zone. I so appreciate your gift to me.
When painful emotions that have been deeply buried for years are pulled forth by a story, when the tears keep coming even after the last page is read, then true healing becomes possible.
Thank you for providing this opportunity to finally release grief long supressed. Yes, it hurts when the protective numbness fades yet just maybe I can start to live again rather than continuing mere existence.
This was, by far, the most beautiful story I have ever read on this site. I was crying through a good deal of it. Thank you!
Other have said but it was wonderful. Although I am sure some flamer will post that you were sloppy because the character's name in mid-story.
This is the third time I have read this story, and I enjoy reading it more each time. The emotion of love lost and then found again. You did a great job and are one of my favorite authors here on literotica.
And yes for the third time, I had tears in my eye's so much for being a big strong fella.
Doug
This is my second or third read of this story. It still brings a few tears to my eyes. It is one of the best I've read here on Lit. Thanks!!
I've read lots and lots. This moved me in ways that I can't describe. A wonderful story. Truly wonderful your my new favorite author. And my first lol.
One of the best stories in this site. So moving and touching. Made my eyes water ;-). You should write more stories like this.
This has to be the best romantic short story that I have EVER read. I love christmas romance stories, and this is the BEST. 5***** toby9790.
This is the most moving that I have read on literotica. You should write more like this. It is uplifting and gives Hope and Faith. Thank you.
I love this story. From start to finish, I never read a story here on literotica so moving. I was laughing and crying. This story is what happens in real life.
a whole bunch. Skip the glitches, read the story as a story. It's a great one.
I'm tempted to say that this is pretty tame for an 'erotica' site, but I don't want to take away from the fact that it's an exquisitely well-crafted story, and delightfully touching.
Even though not the typical erotic story, I still loved it. Keep up the good work.
One of the best stories in this site. There's so much to love in this story. Glad to see that not only is he happy, but his children are too. They've now found a new mom to love.
Danielle,
You displayed your creative wordsmith talent, positive outlook, and sense of emotional connections in this lovely Christmas tale. The father/children connection, new and building romance between Nathan and Dara, as well as the continuing connection between Nathan and his first wife were delightful ! Thanks very much! Gift us with more fine tales when you get a chance please! Good luck in finding that house! Dan
story, storyline, style and content, and well edited. Very well done!
I loved reading every well written word. Are you sure you aren't Nora Roberts?
Such a wonderful story, made all the wandering thru trash worth it, Again THANK YOU.
This is one of those feel good stories. Thank you for sharing this gem!!!!!!!!
I don't think I've laughed and cried at the same time ever...Thanks it was great.
Five stars for your good story! It was so good. Feliz Navidad a un autor muy talentoso.
I almost punched my monitor when she passed out and then they were at a church with solemn music. Extremely well done.
what a beautiful story. keep up with your great talentive writing.
Danielle that was absolutely one of the best stories I have read in a very long time... I will admit that you scared the daylights out of me when Dara ran into trouble after the birth and at the start of the church scene I was seriously thinking "OH NO NOT AGAIN!!!!" Glad all worked out in the end.
You belong in the same class as a few other writers here that I really like, romantic1, oldhippie1949 and moogplayer, This was the first of your stories I hae read and will read more.
One problem though, I can't give you10 stars even though this story deserves them...
story! This is the 2nd of your stories I've read. Both are well done. I will try a few more, and I seldom do that.
I loved it the first time I read it, and that decision hasn't changed over time. Just read it again - absolutely stunning work from a truly great author.
After a second reading, I loved this story even more. If this is any indication of your writing skills, I know why you have moved on to the published world.
The story struck so many ways emotionally-happy-sad-frightened-unsure and weeping among others. Thank you for writing such a wonderful and emotional story.
Bless You!!!
My heart was in my mouth, i thought he had lost another wife when he was left with the baby.
So glad he wasnt.
Beautiful story
