You have developed the first chapter in great
detail. So much detail I doubt I will bother to read the rest. You can write and I would suggest you publish it in a book and avoid this site. Sixteen chapters is a bit long in the tooth.
Should be in print!
I agree with the last poster. If the next chapters are as well written as this one, it deserves to be in print! Can't wait for the next installment!

The story is great! There's a lot of tension and one can see that confrontation is on the way. Please, post again. If the story is already finished you can post 2-4 chapters at a time and post under novels/novellas (to possibly gain more readership). Good luck!
